Prior to relocating to Park City and establishing the Silver Moose Ranch Bed & Breakfast, Brian and Tamara Mooring, parents of 5 and grandparents of 6, established the family-owned Woods Ferry Farm Catering & Vineyard, located in Saint Clair County, Alabama.
Tamara is a former rocket scientist and private school administrator who has turned a passion for gardening and cooking into a successful catering business. The family homestead, Woods Ferry Farm, is 98 acres of rolling hills, fields and forest on the banks of the Coosa River in Saint Clair County, Alabama. Teeming with wildlife, the property also contains a 2.6 acre muscadine vineyard, a fruit and berry orchard and a thriving organic herb farm. The vineyard supplies muscadine grapes to several Alabama wineries. Brian is a computer networking technology program manager by day (and night); and part-time vineyard tinkerer. He enjoys Tamara's passion for cooking, and like the rest of the family, is an active participant in the catering business. It was Brian's passion for skiing that originally brought the couple to Utah, where they fell in love with the year-round climate, scenery, and active, outdoor lifestyle.
