I'm someone who doesn't like to fill out these kinds of fields, but as it is required...I'm a green-friendly community organizer. I like to read, swim, garden and eat out! My life motto is probably "if you don't ask, you don't get."

Lynne was very quick to respond to any questions and communicated effectively before and during the trip. We booked this place last minute for NYE so we were ready to take whatever was available at a reasonable price. Our initial impression of the place was the area that it was in. While it is relatively close to the French Quarter, I did not feel very safe walking around the area at night so we drove or took cabs downtown. The neighbors were very loud and lots of random noises/partying every night we were there. As a shotgun style house, there aren't any real doors from living room > bedroom > kitchen so not the kind of privacy we are used to. Although since we only saw Lynne at arrival we were definitely more comfortable with our privacy as our trip progressed. Additionally while NOLA is generally a warmer climate (being from Chicago anything is better), the first night we were there it was very cold, space heater ineffective and had poorly insulated walls. Otherwise we had a great trip and Lynne is a very sweet person, providing us with a taste of the local beer and leaving us fresh fruit in the morning. For the price, last minute booking, and NYE holiday it was a good place to stay but would not have been my first choice.
