John and Cady were lovely hosts and their appartment is great! I was actually on crutches at the time of staying but as there are only around 5 steps up to their appartment and then its all on one level i would say that it is a good place to stay for those who may have reduced mobility or find alot of stairs tricky. The room and appartment were as per the photos and the bedroom i stayed in was really nice with a comfy bed! I would reccommend the appartment as a great place to stay!! Thank you Cady and John for having me stay. Catherine
John and Caty's place worked perfectly for us. Our daughter lives in Rogers Park just a few blocks away, and we have friends in Evanston. Their location was a great alternative to staying in an Evanston Hotel.
Although we were sharing their apartment, the guest room has plenty of privacy. John and Caty are gracious hosts, though we saw very little of them as they leave early for work.
If you are driving to Chicago, note that parking is at a premium and the Rogers Park area is no exception. We were able to find a spot within two blocks every time we returned. This was much better than coughing up $20-$40 per night at a hotel to keep our car!
Lots of good taquerias in the neighborhood!
This was my first Airbnb experience and I was very pleased. John and Cady's place is just as great as it appears in all the photos. While some people consider the location to be farther out from all the action than other places, I really wanted to stay in a real Chicago neighborhood and found their place to be easy to use public transportation to get to and from. Loved the neighborhood. Just wish I could have stayed forever!
What a nice way to visit Chicago! A lovely historic home. The hosts are welcoming and gracious, yet so quiet I barely noticed them. The guest room is very private and pleasant. They generously shared their kitchen, and healthy breakfast fixings. I felt completely at home.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights. The house was very clean and neat... lovely, charming, and peaceful. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious. The chickens are a complete delight and the backyard instpires me to work on my own :) I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Chicago.
John was great. I can recommend Urban Farm and Garden in Chicago without any reservations and hesitations! I would always go back there.
We stayed with John and Cady for 3 nights while in town for the Renegade Craft Fair. Their home is warm and welcoming, a perfect place to unwind. It made the city seem more familiar to stay with them, as if we were staying with friends we've known for years. The breakfast was delicious and we had great conversation. They both gave excellent food recommendations and even took a bike ride out to Wicker Park to check out the fair and say hello! Can't remember a hotel employee ever coming out to support. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend their place to anyone considering an airbnb visit to Chicago!
John and Cady are lovely, relaxed hosts, with a comfortable guest room in a nice quiet building. I did have to troll the side streets for parking, but always managed to find something within a couple of blocks, and I was comfortable walking in the area early morning on my way to rotations in Evanston. It's very convenient to Evanston Hospital, only a 15 minute drive, close to nice parks along the river.
John and Cady were very welcoming and relaxed. They were out when I arrived but made everything easy. The aesthetic experience of staying in their place is great; everything is beautiful and well thought-out. I ate the best egg of my life there! The neighbourhood is also really beautiful. In one direction you can make it to a beautiful park on the lake (great for joggers) and in the other direction there are Latino shops and amazing tacos. Thanks John and Cady!
John's place is beautiful, very tastefully decorated. The eggs are so delicious. Thank you, John!
John and Cady were wonderful guests. They enjoyed our place and Healdsburg: the down town concerts, restaurants and hiking the mountain. Communicated arrival time and seemed to enjoy being here.Very nice couple .
