Staying at Nash's was a pleasure from start to finish. The building is in the heart of one of San Francisco's most elegant and convenient neighborhoods, and his apartment is perfectly put together for a visitor looking for a chic and comfortable place to relax and admire a spectacular view in between forays around the city. Nash went out of his way to be helpful and communicative about the particulars, even while he was traveling himself. A great perch in San Francisco, whether it's your first trip or your 100th.
Nash's place was AWESOME! The studio was clean and stocked with everything we needed and then some. My wife and 20 month daughter stayed there for almost two weeks. The location is perfect. Walking to Union Square, North Beach, Embarcadero were only 10-15 minutes. There are tons of restaurants around and Chinatown is right outside. The cable cars are literally out the front door and the rooftop views make this a steal of a deal. Nash is kind, prompt and true to his word. I can't wait to stay there again!!!
I attended a conference at the Ritz Carlton on very short notice coming from New York and needed a place to stay at for the next few days. Ritz Carlton was $984 a night and I desperately needed something else.
Nash's place is literally across the street in a very quiet and upscale neighborhood in a beautiful, old, Spanish building with decorated ceilings, old wood panel doors, one of these elevators with a metal gate, old timey floor tiles. During my 3-night stay I saw 2 other residents in the building, it is very quiet. There's almost no traffic and the cable car leaves in front of the door. Oh, views over downtown from the super spacious roofdeck are included, too. The place is very well put together with cool art and a great personal touch, cozy and fun. Nash is the nicest guy and took time showing me everything (carrying my luggage upstairs!), sent me emails later with bar recommendations in the neighborhood, offered to meet his friends while I was in town. He also happened to be a marathon runner like me and sent me a great route via email that I did on my last day, which included crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. When I was at the center, I called my parents in Germany from my iphone via Skype video conference - a truly memorable situation thanks to Nash!
During the aforementioned conference, I met Chip, founder of Joie de Vivre hotels who I had the pleasure of speaking with for a few minutes. Joie de Vivre's hotels are all uniquely modeled after magazines, like Dwell or Oprah. Chip said, "We're not in the hospitality business, we're in the identity refreshment business." If you're up for that, Nashs place is your must-go destination in San Francisco.
great location. great host. very clean. you can hear the cable cars in the am - which I found charming.
Nash was a professional, responsive, and very friendly host. He even carried my bags up when I arrived - quite the gentleman! His place was clean and comfortable and started to feel like home after just one night. The included WiFi and surround sound speakers were great added amenities. The views from the windows and rooftop were stunning, and it's located just down the road from Top of the Mark - a must see bar in SF. This apartment was a great place to stay in San Francisco due to it's central location, be prepared to walk up some hills like a true San Franciscan though!
Host: Nash was very responsive and professional. He was friendly and explained the location and gave me some good tips about the City. I stayed at this apartment as if it was my own place. The apartment contained everything that I needed.
Location: The place is ideal to downtown Union Square - I was attending the Dreamforce ((website hidden)) conference. I was able to reach my conference center with ease. It is very safe and close to China town. I did take a walk around the China town. There are good food places around.
I gave 5 stars because of the location and the host's professionalism. The place is clean and equipped with everything that you need. You can stay here for either business or personal reasons.
Nash was a fabulous guest - super communicative and conscientious! He was in the area for a marathon with his family. We wouldn't have known that anyone stayed at our home other than a big puzzle was completed (impressive!) and for a few rumpled linens and towels. We also appreciated the lovely note left for us! Thank you!
Nash was very sympathetic guest with a great communication!
This was my first experience as a host and it could not been better. This is exactly the type of experience that makes airbnb a great service. I was both excited to share my home, but somewhat apprehensive. Nash and his friend came to Boston to run the marathon. They were the perfect guests: very respectful of my environment, tidy (the apartment was spotless after their departure). They enjoyed the apartment and its location - They actually want to come back next year so they can enjoy the rooftop a bit more. Overall, a great experience!
We really hope to have in the future more guests as Nash, everything OK with him. Thanks for staying at Manzoni House!
