Nice place in a great location. Tons of good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood and easy access to downtown. It stayed warm even when it was -40 outside.
Only issue is that there is no address on the building so it can be slightly hard to find for the first time.
This place was great! Spacious cozy two bedroom apartment in a great area of the city. I would recommend this to anyone. Great host great experience!
Great place and great location! As previously stated - kind of difficult initially to find - but once you know your way - all good. Very nice place & nice layout! Mike Sr. was really nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.
Great location, comfortable apartment with everything we needed. Check-in and check-out were easy.
This rental couldn't be any better. Really great space, Everything updated, super clean, and Mike has every amenity you could want: coffee maker, fast wifi, nice big fluffy towels, blow dryer, etc. etc. Great location just a few blocks from the Blue Line. There is an awesome posh bar and restaurant, called Trenchermen, one block away.
First time in Chicago and first AirBnB! Couldn't have asked for a better first impression of both. Hosts are super helpful and easy to work with. If you're planning on staying in Chicago, this is in an awesome neighborhood. Restaurants, bars, bookstores, and shops steps away!
Mike's father, Bob, is the one who checked us in and out. I would have liked a personal e-mail confirmation of our arrangements and where to park when we got there, but there was none. In spite of this, once we reached our destination, Bob was very helpful and accomodating. The location was great, and the apartment met our needs very well. I would recommend it!
We never met Mike but his father Bob was helpful (but he's a man of very few words). The apartment is exactly as described and met our needs perfectly. If you're a light sleeper, though, the house does make its share of noises at night (radiator noise, floor creaks) and the neighbourhood can get noisy at night (we happened to be there over Hallowe'en, but weekends would likely be the same). If that isn't an issue, or you have earplugs, this place is close to lots of great shops, bars, and restaurants. A good value for 3 or 4 people sharing, too.
Mike and Bob were very accommodating hosts for my stay in Chicago. From storing my luggage when I checked in before 5pm to helping me with my very early departure, they were very responsive, kind, and helpful.
The location is great and in just a couple of blocks, you are in the heart of Wicker Park. There are number of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. It's very convenient to get to the Blue Line (runs 24hrs) or to pick up a Divvy bike to ride around the city. There's even a Walgreens right by if you need to pick up some things you may have forgotten for your trip.
For EXTREMELY light sleepers, you may find the home noisy with neighbors walking around upstairs or clicking from the heater. Otherwise, it's spacious, clean, and comfortable.
