From New York, love to travel, and I'm an airbnb host as well.
Paul is a good man, quick replying and making sure everything is alright. He has a very comfortable bed in a great place on a fantastic location.
Paul was a great host, always available via e-mail or cellphone. The apartment was really nice, although a bit dirty - I came four days after hurricane Sandy left the city so I was lucky there was power!!!! I can't complain!! Location is perfect for those who want to feel what's like living in NY. Would definitely come back.
The position of the unit was great but a bit noisy at night. The kitchen could have been cleaner. The bed was comfortable. Having a laundry downstairs was very convenient as were the shops and restaurants. It was great to be able to have a late checkout on the last day
Having visited NYC for the first time it was wonderful to be able to stay in a clean, inviting and relaxed environment when we had been pounding the pavement all day.
The location is fantastic especially with the subway at our doorstep and the fact that we could do a load of laundry there was a big plus.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and Paul was a great host.
Thanks again Paul!
It was our first experience with AirBnB. The size was good the location too and Paul answered all my questions. His friend showed us the apt and I think he lived there before we arrived and nobody cleaned it after. When we first walked in it didn't smell good and there were a lot of hair and a death roach on the floor. It was okay but I wouldn't stay again. May be I expected too much.
I love the LES (lower east side). Walking distance to Soho (awesome shopping), Katzs Delicatessen (world famous pastrami), Laboratorio Del Gelato and Big Gay Ice Cream (ice cream vendors), Blue in Green (some of the best denim on the planet). Verlaine ($5 happy hour lychee martini) right down the road and Stop 1 Deli ($1 Coors Light) is right on the corner. Infinite food possibilities await. Chinatown and Little Italy are also walking distance. The subway on Essex is there to take you anywhere you need to go. There are a few flights of stairs, but it's not a big deal. The neighborhood is really safe at night. I will recommend this place to my friends and family.
This was our first experience with AirBnb and everything went well. When we arrived Paul was there to greet us and the apartment was as described in the website. Location was great with easy access to subway and many excellent restaurants nearby, and the neighborhood felt safe also in the evenings. We had read about the stairs so that was no problem to us :) Good air-conditioning, easy access to internet, which was nice!
great location for the LES. quite a large space for Manhattan. there is a real bedroom, a sitting/living room, and a kitchen. some street noise, but no loud bars or late night places within hearing distance. do be prepared for stairs - it is on the 5th floor, so four flights every time... very close to several subways, so excellent access to where ever you want to go. lots of night life, bars, etc. quite different in the day time - interesting mix of people, shops, restaurants. felt very safe both in the apartment and on the street, day and night. Paul was friendly and helpful. if you want this location, and can handle stairs, i recommend it!!
Paul and his family were good guests and had a good time at the canals with their baby, canoeing and walking the neighbor hood. Would have them again
We were pleased to have Paul , his family and friends, and to help them solve their problems. They are nice and cheerful guests , quite respectful of the place. It would be a pleasure to have them again when they want to visit
Nice family who left my apartment tidy. I recommend! Thank you
