A beautiful home with lots of space to hang out in. There was everything my husband and I needed. The place was clean and had a great vibe to it. The bathroom is a dream! The bed was spacious and so comfy. The area is so peaceful at night. Walking distance to Haight St where you can find shops & restaurants. Plus with a Whole Foods two streets away, it's super convenient.
Lawrence was a great host to my parents on a recent last minute trip to San Francisco. He has a beautiful, spacious apartment with a large well kept back garden. For those of you who wonder what it would be like to live in a historic part of SF, this is it! A major plus is the pinball arcade just a few doors down (random, but awesome!) One note: if you're squeamish about taxidermy, this place won't be for you. We didn't have a problem with it.
The listing is exactly as described! A great location right next to the park and very close to transit, great bars and restaurants.
Lawrence's place was awesome! I enjoyed checking out all of his books and music- and taxidermy. Becca who helps manage the flat was right there to help with anything we needed and we loved the hottub! Great location we'd definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this amazing flat in Lower Haight for about a week and throughly enjoyed our stay. It was our first time using airbnb and from the moment we arrived all our expectations were exceeded. The location is fantastic with great restaurants, bars and culture just at your doorstep. You can spend so much time in Haight, checking out the stores and seeing the sights. The location could not be beaten for us.
The flat itself is a cosy and extremely comfortable Victorian with a great kitchen and bathroom/ bath. The bed was easily the best we have ever slept in. The flat is filled with great books, art, music, films and taxidermy. We really enjoyed watching the fish, and checking out all the interesting nick-nacks, photographs and animals. The kitchen was really easy to use and has everything you could ever need. It was relatively cold here when we stayed too, so we appreciated the central heating and washing facilities but unfortunately were not able to try the outdoor hot tub. Overall, our stay in the flat was a unique and unforgettable experience.
Our stay was made so much more enjoyable by the kind and helpful Becca who manages the flat. She was there when we arrived, and could not have been more friendly and accommodating, giving us all the help we needed to have a comfortable stay. Any queries we had she was more than happy to answer, and she was able to accommodate all our needs.
We look forward to the next time we can stay at this flat in Haight!
Great location, great flat. Short walk to Golden Gate Park and great restaurants. The collection of hunting photos and trophy's as well as a diverse book and music collection made for an interesting window into another very different life, and a fun addition to our weekend away in the city.
My colleague stayed here for the weekend and said he truly enjoyed his time there. This flat was such a unique and eclectic space to stay with tons of taxidermy decorating the space. Despite all of the unique decor, the space was very welcoming and cozy. The bed was great!
The location was also perfect--so close to Haight street and the park, which was perfect for my colleague seeing as he was training for a marathon.
The check in was easy because Lawrence provided all information well in advance.
Thank you, Lawrence for providing such a comfortable and unique space for my colleague to stay.
Thank you. You are very welcome to return whenever the flat is available.
Renting the flat was a breeze and the host made us feel very welcome. The property is amazing in a terrific neighborhood. The description is very accurate, the appliances are top shelf, there is beautiful outdoor space and the stereo system is beyond compare. It was impeccably clean, as well.
There is one important thing left out: The host is an exceptionally accomplished big game hunter. The trophies of those hunts adorn the home. We're not particularly squeamish, however, it took us aback when we first arrived.
It's a' wonderful place to call home while in San Francisco provided you're ok with the decor.
Lawrence was very responsive. His apartment was very clean. The bedroom, bathroom, kitchen were very comfortable. The garden was very nice and the deck was comfortable. The hot tub was appreciated. If you don't like stuffed animals, this is not the place for you. The living room and dining area are a bit crowded, making it difficult to move around.
Nice apartment. Very clean and well described by the pictures. Enjoyed my first stay at an AirBNB location very much. I'm also a hunter so I enjoyed seeing the variety of displays.
Extremely clean and fantastic experience. Communication was a breeze. Highly recommended.

We would open our space to Larry at any time. He is a great guest and a great person. He is friendly and open to people and experiences. Next time, we will have his favorite beverage at his disposal. It was great hosting Larry and he brings a youthfully vivacious energy to your space. Be well and stay thirsty, my friend.
It was a pleasure to meet Larry. He showed up on time and left the studio in great condition. I'll be sure to look him up next time I head out to San Francisco.
Easy and efficient communication, overall good experience.
