Amazing place to stay and everything was beautiful from the art on the walls to the taxidermy in the living room.
Best bed ever and those pillows .... HEAVEN
Bathroom was inviting and that shower was superb. Didn't realize until the last day that the shower got hotter if you pulled out the little knob.
The living room had a great tv setup and the stereo HOLY CRAP! I was afraid to turn it on when I (website hidden)d the brand a read up on its extreme power.
I have never seen a music collection like the one in the dining area here. I was so happy to be able to listen to Richard Pryor's entire collection over my 4 day stay. The kitchen was great and the back porch area totally great.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat !!
My friend and I had an amazing time in SF staying at Larry's place. Becca, the manager, was a sweetheart to check-in on us. She heard us chatting in the beautifully manicured backyard that I was coveting. It will be great to go back and see the mature lemon tree! We took advantage of the hot tub, but since it was Sunday morn we just soaked instead of turning the noisy jets on. We didn't want to disturb upstairs neighbors...however we never heard anyone upstairs, so they must have been away. That made this place SO private & quiet even though we were just maybe 1/6 of a block from Golden Gate park. It was the perfect spot for us to do morning walks, catch a quick coffee or even head off to a sit-down breakfast.
This was the perfect location to go see it all: parks (we hiked GG & BV), beach, dinner in the city, drive along the piers & sightsee - it's all so close. The local flavor is everything (location, location, location): yogis walking home from yoga, homeless near park, mom's with strollers, young couples, old couples - tons of people watching to do :D Restaurantiers (???) were super friendly & even recognized us from two days before & welcomed us back! It's recommended on the Welcome sheet to visit Zazie AND YES we highly recommend - the wait is well worth it. Besides neighboring bars a great spot to catch a drink, like Reverie Cafe Bar.
Parking was tricking but we circled and on the second day lucked out to have one six cars down from the apt. Next time we'll try our hand at mass transit, but were on a schedule.
Larry's flat is a collection as some reviewers have noted: music, books galore, art and taxidermist animals. It's unique & eclectic which made it very interesting. The apartment is beautiful: great light in the kitchen & living room, gorgeous high ceilings AND if Larry designed the (email hidden)g, kuddos to him. I LOVED IT. Ample room, great lighting and an amazing shower & tub (separate btw).
Provisions: lovely thick towels for both the bath & hottub (I wanted to take them!). There's a wide range & variety of herbal teas. So happy about the filtered water - we drank tons. Bathroom was stocked. We didn't cook, but kitchen has everything: spices, utensils & beyond.
It was so easy to communicate even though Larry was out-of-town & just getting back as we were leaving. We emailed each other if needed. Becca was close if needed & easy to chat with via text or in person. Coming & going was a breeze.
This was such an ideal location & great place that I couldn't see why we wouldn't stay here again. Thanks, you two!!!
Great place! It's like some kind of swanky hunting lodge in the heart of the Haight – it's not what you'd expect from the neighborhood best known as ground zero for the hippie movement. The apartment is surprisingly large, with lots of modern fixtures and some very quirky decorating choices, and the host has accounted for pretty much every need a guest could possibly have. Good location, too – close to major train and bus lines, so it's easy to get anywhere in the city in a hurry. Definitely recommended.
All went perfectly smoothly. Nice room, and the flat decor is knockout.
It's situated in a great neighborhood with plenty of public transportation options. Would definitely book the place again.
Apartment was very accessible and clean. Definitely a nice, eclectic place to stay!
Our stay at Lawrence's flat was pretty fantastic. The location is super convenient, just around the corner from Haight St. and lots of great restaurants, cafes, Whole Foods, etc. The flat itself is amazing: Very well-appointed, comfortable and spotless. It has a hot tub and jacuzzi, both of which threatened to make us stay in more than we'd planned. :) We did not meet Lawrence, but check in/out was a breeze. We've already decided we will be back in a few months. Definitely recommend!
Lawrence was an excellent host! The apartment is in the perfect location, the place was clean and tidy, and he made everything incredibly easy by leaving simple instructions for the house as well as suggestions of things to do, and places to eat in the neighborhood. We will definitely try to stay at this flat again on our next trip to SF. Thank you, Lawrence!
Lawrence's place was a block from the eastern end of the Golden Gate park! The location was fabulous with many cafes and a Whole Foods just around the corner. The apartment itself is spacious and a beautifully restored Victorian home. The hot tub and backyard space is an added bonus. The bathroom is beautifully laid out with high end finishes and a nice jacuzzi tub. The towels and linens provided were plush and soft.
The only thing that bothered me is the stuffed animals with pictures that suggest they were hunted by the host. This is a personal choice and I was not very comfortable by the sheer number of these animals around the home. For this reason alone, I will probably not book a stay at this particular apartment again.
This place is INSANE and also in an amazing location. If you stay here you will definitely remember it! My husband and I had a great weekend in Lawrence's flat, which was very luxurious, comfortable and uniquely decorated. It's only a block away from Golden Gate Park, Amoeba Music, Haight St., etc. which was super convenient. The recommendations Lawrence left about food were helpful, and he also has an awesome collection of jazz CDs, if you're into that. We would definitely recommend it, although I will agree with previous reviewers that if you dislike hunting/taxidermy, this is probably not the place for you. Check in & communication with the host were all a breeze. Thanks!
I can only recommend this amazing apartment. Super comfy bed, great sound system, jacuzzi and tons of interesting artwork and books to marvel at.
It also has the best location you could dream of; There are cafés, wholefoods, bars, restaurants and the Golden Gate park about half a block away from the apartment.

Was a Blesser to meet you Mr Seidler
We would open our space to Larry at any time. He is a great guest and a great person. He is friendly and open to people and experiences. Next time, we will have his favorite beverage at his disposal. It was great hosting Larry and he brings a youthfully vivacious energy to your space. Be well and stay thirsty, my friend.
It was a pleasure to meet Larry. He showed up on time and left the studio in great condition. I'll be sure to look him up next time I head out to San Francisco.
Easy and efficient communication, overall good experience.
