This is a wonderful property in a charming location on the Douro. However the hosts’ efforts to minimize the running costs of the house dampen the overall experience, lighting, warm water, and kitchen amenities are all sub-5 star, but nevertheless manageable. We were a family of five and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our family absolutely loved our stay here. Jose Manuel and Sofia were outstanding hosts, providing quality personal touches and going out of their way to accommodate our every request. Wonderful house, terrific property, refreshing pool and spectacular views of the Douro River. Recommend highly for a getaway to relax, wind down, etc. Thanks again!

A very large house with plenty of space. Lovely pool and view - it looks realy like the photoes! A perfect place to relax and enjoy. José and Sofia are great and helpful hosts.

Vi har haft glæde af at bo i José og Sofias hus i 12 dage. De har været utrolig søde og har haft en god forståelse af rollen som værter. Under hele opholdet har de været nemme at komme i kontakt med og har hjulpet med alle forespørgsler. Huset ligger i Dourodalen med en fantastisk udsigt ud over floden, som også kan ses fra den private pool. Som et ekstra plus står der i haven store frugttræer til fri afbenyttelse. The house was a nice retreat for a family vacation with beautiful scenery. Recommend driving on the 222 through the Douro valley to experience the vineyards and surrounding nature. Also recommend the drive to Porto. The rooms were comfortable. We swam in the pool and relaxed in the living rooms and outdoor patio. The host was very responsive when we had questions. Would recommend for family vacations

L'emplacement de la maison offre une vue magnifique, c'est un hâvre de paix, qui n'est pas forcément évident à trouver sur la carte mais c'est aussi tout son charme !
