Well, considering I can't live without excellent food (be it a hot dog or Adria-inspired treat), you'll find that to be one of my several cornerstones of conversation. DC does not, oddly, have a surfeit of good bistro-size restaurants, and caters more towards the frequent visitors to K Street (re: people with money [of yours] to burn). As airbnb is focused, as it should be, on making sure travelers are matched properly with the generous and saavy people who open their homes and properties, I should point out that as a resident of DC and all the wildlife associated with living in a muggy swamp, I keep my home meticulously clean. And although I am open to almost everything, I know that some people need not be privy to another person's views. That is, I respect space and the people who occupy it - be it a downstairs neighbor or otherwise. I travel light, and can't recall the last time I checked a bag. Like camping in the woods, I have a leave-no-trace policy.
