I've been married for 19 years and would like to start traveling now that my children are older. I love travel, cooking, decorating, party planning and new experiences. It's a big world out there and to think that i won't even get to experience it all can sometimes be saddening. Some of the places I've been are: NOLA, Florida, Jamaica, Arizona, Bahamas- Not all that many. I liked New Orleans so much I've gone 3 times. I enjoy the beaches in the summer and the holidays in the winter. I enjoy camping also in the spring and fall.
I don't get much time to watch TV, but I love Seinfield re-runs and also like House; I'll take comedy anyday over drama. I spend a lot of time cooking, working and doing my "duties", that I relish time to do something fun and exciting. It may be few and far between, but I am looking forward to my next adventure. i don't read much, unless its informative...or an occasional magazine/periodical. I work on computers for a living, so, I only use them for informative reasons or for tasks at home. I'd much rather experience living than spend my time doing things I can do when i get old! I love to people watch, and participate in community things...and experience real-type living, rather than a pampered style of vacation. No spas for me. I want to take in all the sights and sounds of my surroundings and relish in their differences.
I love wine, all types of good food, and of course i couldn't live without my lovely, quiet husband. Oh and dental floss....i couldn't live without that either! I like to plan only 50% of my vacation; the other 50% i leave open to whatever happens/where it brings me. I have sort of a chameleon attitude: i can go to a posh place or a local shack and be fine as long as they both have something to offer.
As a guest, I would just like a positive experience. I'd like peace and quiet, and some tips about the local area woud be great! I'm not into spending a fortune on accommodations because I don't plan on spending much time there..only to sleep, shower and get ready for my new adventure. Just a neat, clean, safe, relatively quiet place with a little pizzazz. Anything above that would be the icing on the cake. I'd much rather give my $$ to someONE than give my money to some large corporation. We're fairly quiet people (Mark and I ) and always respectful of others and their property. We don't nit-pick. People will tell you I have very well-behaved children, and their parents are no different. :)
