This airbnb was excellent!
I went out on the town with Stefan who was a volunteer at the casa and a new friend.
It was a Sunday night and the dance bar, something "Amigos", filled up with locals and tourists and we all danced and had a decent time.
Monteverde is a quiet town. I did the extremo zip lines and it was one of the best decisions I could make. Thank you Tarasicio for being a good host and recommending it to me!
Shower was great, bed was comfortable, place was clean. I was happy to be here for a night.
We felt very welcome at Casa Alquimia Artes. Tarsicio was most helpful and gave us suggestions on which activities to do in the area….and also booked them for us. We went on a Extreme Canopy Tour that we will never forget….Awesome! It was nice to gather with others around the breakfast table each morning to talk about our experiences. Thanks Tarsicio for a memorable time!
Waldon & Rose
We spent three nights in a lovely room of Casa Alquimia Artes, with huge windows, which gave us a nice view outside. As we had rented a car, this place was perfect for visiting the surrounding attractions of Monteverde. Tarsicio was always helpful and full of advice. We felt very welcome in this nice, charming house.
Tarsicio was an amazing host. We had great conversations and are very much looking forward to seeing the hotel progress in the future. They are working hard on a truly unique and beautiful space. The art and feel of the place is perfect. Beautiful space hosted by beautiful people!
Siamo stati contenti dell'ospitalità di Casa Alquimia Artes e Tarcisio è stato molto gentile nel darci informazioni precise e nel farci sentire come a casa nostra, con delle colazioni buonissime e abbondanti
My girlfriend and I stayed at Tarcisio's Casa Alquimia in Santa Elena (Monteverde) for three nights during our trip around Costa Rica in January 2015.
Tarsicio was a really good host and offered to help us with anything we needed. We felt very welcome. We were served breakfast every morning at 7am and talked with Tarcisio about the different reserves.
The house is located close to the Monteverde Reserve which we chose to walk to on our first day. It was a beautiful short walk around 30 min and was up hill. The Curi-Cancha Reserve is basically right next door a short walk up the hill and we really enjoyed this reserve. Close to the house is an Argentinian and Italian restaurant.
The house is still under construction but this didn't affect our stay at all as the rooms are finished and no noisy construction was going on. Tarcisio and his wife are both artists and this can be seen around the house which is built with local wood.
I would definitely recommend Casa Alquimia if you are planning on spending some time in beautiful Monteverde!
Tarsicio and his wife are wonderful! We enjoyed our stay at Casa Alquimia Artes - it was quiet, easy, and beautiful. The hostel is still not complete, but don't let that stop you from enjoying this special property. Monteverde is such a great place to visit, and the location of this property is tops!
Casa Alquimia was exactly what I needed after a long trek through the forest. Tarsicio and his family were extremely welcoming and his home was very comfortable. Located in a very peaceful area away from the heavily concentrated city center. I would definitely recommend anybody to stay here.
It was a nice stay at Casa Alquimia!
The room is nice, with a big window, it is nice to see the sunset.
The owners are super friendly and have nice stories to tell. The pineapple and pumpkin marmelade were awesome!
It is a 30 minutes walk to the centre of Santa Elena. And a 5 minutes walk to some small shops and restaurants.
We visited the Santa Elena cloud forest, much better/more quiet than the Monteverde cloud forest.
(We did a 3 and 4 hour hike)
Also the Don Juan coffee tour was interesting.
Tarsicio is a great host! Incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped us book all our transportation and tours. Breakfasts were delicios. The location is very nice especially being very close to cafe cabure. We very much enjoyed our stay at Tarsicio's casa alquimes!
pura vida thanks for all!
