We really enjoyed staying at Justin's place. We stayed in a different apartment than is pictured here after this one became unavailable. My husband loved that the decor is, in his words, "a combo of Ron Swanson and Don Draper." The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Charleston and we walked everywhere. Justin's was always responsive to text messages when we had questions.
Justin was a great host even though we never met. Communication was fabulous. From pre-trip to final day "check-out", responses to questions were almost immediate. The key was under the mat for us when we arrived.
Although the apartment was a different one (but still in the same building) from the one originally booked, I wouldn't have known the difference. Spacious, private, clean -- it was everything I was looking for. Plus, it was a short 10 min. walk from King St. in one direction, and a big grocery store and the harbor in the other direction.
The wi-fi wasn't working during our stay, and we had to turn the gas on to get the stove working, but these were minor blips during an otherwise amazing stay in beautiful downtown Charleston.
Great location to explore Charleston from! Our host was very attentive to all of our our needs. The apartment is very comfortable, nice linens, lots of historic charm. When they saw that we enjoyed having a cocktail on the porch in the late afternoon, they left us bug spray. Very thoughtful! We would recommend it!
This was my first air bnb experience and it was filled with positives. Great location - right off the main drag of downtown Charleston but nestled in a quaint quiet neighborhood with a lot of charm and beauty. And justin was quick to answer questions and provide suggestion. Also love the stocked kitchen with great supplies and coffee. Will definitely look this place up again next time I'm in Charleston.
Cozy place in a quite neighborhood within walking distance of everything. Justin was responsive and willing to help with anything we needed.
A very nice appartment with a lot of character. Beautifully decorated and in good walking distance to the places to see in Charleston. Big advantage was the off-street parking lot behind the house.
Justin was very friendly and responsive to our questions and check-in / check-out was smooth.
Everything was absolutely fantastic! Starting from the beginning, Justin was a kind and very responsive host and remained so throughout our booking and stay. The house is charming and private, off of the main street. Beautifully decorated clean, and comfortable. As this was our first time in Charleston, I wanted a great location to see as much of the city as possible, and I found this location to be perfect! Walking or biking distance from all of the main attractions while still secluded enough from the main streets to get the local, Southern-neighborhood feel.
Can't wait to come back and stay again soon.
Loved the quick responses to questions before deciding to rent given by airbnb and Justin. Loved the flexible check in/check out times. Loved the location within short walking distance to historic downtown , the historic charm of the apt, the current women's magazines available, the neighborhood street, the anytime in/out free parking (which is priceless in downtown Charleston). Mattress seemed ready for replacement but bedding was nice and cushy. The tub/shower could use some sprucing up but the water pressure and temp were fine. My husband appreciated the coffee available to make in the morning. Overall, a charming, rustic, historic place to stay.
The space exceeded my expectations. Located on one of the nicest streets in the area, and the property has lots of historical charm. Very quiet and quaint. Justin was accommodating and everything worked out perfectly. I'll be looking to stay here again next time I'm in town!
We had a fantastic stay! So close to town you can walk and enjoy everything Charleston has to offer. We loved the kitchen and the great cookware. Will definitely be back!
