Outgoing sporty individual who enjoys live music, art and socialising. Love travelling, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.
Great location, very helpful host and had a brilliant New Years weekend!
Catherine was very welcoming, even tho we were early! The house was perfect for us and had very appealing period features, The spiral staircase was fun...but might be challenging for weightier guests.
Catherine left more than enough food for us - the bread was particularly good. Heating and hot water were great and the bed was very comfortable. There is a great walk into town along the river which Catherine told us about. The main route into town is very short.
We loved Kilkenny.
Lovely house... so cozy! Everthing was very clean and organised! My boyfriend and I felt very comfortable and we had all privacy there. She sent me all directions, guides and maps before so we had everything we needed. Delicious Irish bread for breakfast and nice quite backyard. It was great to be just 10 min walking from the medieval area of Kilkenny with all facilities nearby. I would definitely recommend Catherine's place. I hope to be there again when I go back to Kilkenny.
Katherine was extremely responsive and a good communicator. Katherine wasn't sure of the details for how to pay-by-phone park right outside, which would be great, but she did direct us to a 2euro lot about a 5 minute walk away. The street is busy and the bedroom is street-side, so you'll want to pack ear plugs. This is a cute place, but more like you are staying where someone lives (e.g. toothpaste and toothbrush still out on the sink, personal effects in the shower, hair on the bathroom floor) than a holiday flat. We weren't too keen on that aspect, but if that doesn't freak you out, the location is great and super walkable to town. Katherine was delightful and super helpful about places to eat, where to go, etc.
The house is centrally located, very comfortable and well equipped. I'd a very enjoyable stay here and would book again if I was back in Kilkenny. Katherine was very accommodating and the communications were very good. Highly recommended!!
Great location, very cute house. Extremely comfortable, you'll want to stay longer, and leave feeling inspired.
Great little house in a good location close to Kilkenny centre. Very cosy and would stay again if I was in the area :-)
My goodness, this was a brilliant find! Katherine was just lovely and full of answers to our million questions upon arrival. She happily greeted us at the place on quite short of notice as well - just an all around wonderful host.
The place itself was one of my favorites yet. It's adorable and cozy and for one night, we really did feel like it was all ours. We had tea on the back patio and a solid night's sleep in the upstairs room. It's just a quick walk from the center of town - perfect location. Only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer. Absolutely loved our stay!
Katherine is a lovely person. She feels like one of those people you feel that you know your entire life. I loved her balcony and kitchen area, and the bedroom and bathroom were very nice and comfortable. She made sure that we had breakfast in the morning and was able to meet us when we could arrive at her place. I thought that she and her place was just lovely and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Katherine was very welcoming and the house itself was tidy and ready for my parents to stay there.
It was a very nice experience to stay with Katherine! She was excited about the sun and everything in the village!
We only met briefly ...but connected .. Katherine was a perfect guest and just lovely!
