Beautiful location !!!! We enjoyed to live in this neighbourhood-seemed to be real Montreal.
Jacques was a pleasure to meet, showed us personally all the details in the apartment. Very nice interior. But the best feature (in summer) is definitely the patio - we enjoyed to sit there with our meals.
Parking is possible on the street - Jacques was very helpful to find a spot that was close by and without charge.
We would always choose to come back.
Jacques is a great host. Beautiful, clean basement apartment on a quiet, quaint street at the heart of everything. Walk to Rue St Denis, Mont Royal, Rue Saint Laurent. Tons of great restaurants close by. BIXI and Metro stations very close so easy to get to botanical gardens and old Montreal too. Highly recommended.&
Perfect location! Lovely place! And Jacques was a wonderful host - graciously and happily greeted us at midnight! With croissants and juice, too. Loved the city, enjoyed Osheaga and the mosiacultures at the Botanical Garden were amazing! Highly recommend a river cruise, too. Thanks, Jacques - your place made a perfect trip!
Jacques is the most perfect host, and his apartment was perfect for us as well. It is totally equipped for any need we had. Whenever we had a concern, Jacques responded immediately by email and by visit if necessary. Being a basement apartment, it was cool to come home to on the occasional warm July days. It is within walking distance of all downtown Montreal sights. This is easily one of the best summer stays my wife and I have enjoyed. Thank you, Jacques! John and Hye Ok
Jacques place was the perfect home base for us for the Grand Prix and the rest of our week in Montreal. A beautiful, quiet neighborhood but close to shops and cafes, and a short walk to the Metro; a quiet retreat, but minutes from everywhere. Jacques was a gracious host and very helpful both in making the arrangements and on our arrival. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and the garden was a nice plus. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
Jacques was a wonderful host. He helped us find parking and gave us suggestions for restaurants around town. The place is clean, and spacious and the location is perfect, right around the corner from all the restaurants, bars, clubs and shopping. He greeted us with flowers and croissants. We had an amazing time in Montreal. Highly recommend this place.
This was the best place I have stayed yet in Montreal. Great location, steps away from cobble stone streets with resturants on either side. Beautifull in the Fall with all the leaves.
Jacques property was a fantastic place for our family to base ourselves for 6 days in Montreal. It offered everything we were looking for with it's proximity to fabulous restaurants, parks and the metro. Jacques is a great host and welcomed us with some really useful local information, maps and books on Montreal.
Will definitely be back.
Great stay in a clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated apartment. Jacques is a perfect host who is genuinely interested in you enjoying your time in Montreal. We will be staying with Jacques again when we travel to Montreal the next time.
This was the absolute coolest place I have stayed, and the location has to be the best in the city. The garden apartment is located between two of the best streets in Montreal: Saint-Denis and Saint-Laurent, and the road that connects the two (Prince Arthur) is very cool itself with shops and cafes and restaurants. You literally walk out the door, and a minute later you are at a cafe or bar. It is a very important 1 minute walk though because you are also protected from the masses of people who flock to the popular venues by a surprisingly beautiful and quiet neighborhood. This makes the location perfect for both quiet people and party seeking people! The apartment is clean and comfortable. The host is very chic, very cool. Steps out the door we had breakfast at Cafe Cherrier. Steps in the other direction we had a few beers with the locals at Vol de Nuit. A few blocks further and we watched the Ferrari's and Porsches arrive at Globe for a night on the town. At 3am you can head to what is called the best burger in Montreal for some late night snacks, or grab some Lo Mein from the window next door. It was all within walking distance. This apartment is the right choice for comfort and location and a safe feeling in a big city. Thanks Jacques!
Jacques was a nice and cheerful guest. I recommend him!
Jacques is my awesome neighbour who got me started on AirBNB myself! I have known him for many years now and we both share a love for classical music and our lovely city. He is a welcoming and generous host who gives attention to the small details that make you feel at home. His place is decorated tastefully and has the charm of many Plateau apartments. Your stay at Jacques' place will be comfortable and enjoyable!
I have worked with Jacques for over 10 years. He's an extremely generous person with a great love of nature and the finer things in life. He loves to laugh and always has a smile on his face!
