These guests were perfect!
99% of the time we get amazing guests who really take care of the place.
They left the place in great shape and even washed some towels.
Government Issued ID
In the property description and House Rules it is made clear that a government issued ID is required before entering the home. Other hosts might not require this, but we are very seasoned landlords. Sometimes, we meet guests for very late arrivals. So we do need to ID them before meeting them for everyone's safety. If anything were to happen, we simply give the ID to the police. We do not perform a background search using the ID. If we did, the guest would be required to approve this before it was done.
These guests are new to AirBnB.
They were nervous about providing ID and identity theft.
We understood this and took time to explain the reason for our security measures. Perhaps an ID is not required at a hotel. But, this is not a hotel.
It's a home, with personal property, that is much more comfortable and cozy.
We really appreciated these guests for understanding and following our house rules. They can return at anytime.
We are very good to our guests and love hosting.
