Inn Waimea was great! Patrick was nice and very easy to work with. We stayed here so that we could have easy access into Waimea Canyon and to some south shore beaches. It was quiet, our room was clean and had AC, which was really nice. Patrick provides beach towels too, which was also a nice touch. The location was perfect for getting into the canyon, and for exploring Polihale beach. There are not a ton of good food options in Waimea, but we hit up Ishihara market daily for poke, bread pudding and marinated meats to grill (all were very tasty), Jo Jo's for shave ice and had a good dinner (and really good drinks!) at Wranglers. If you're looking for a quiet area to start adventures from, Inn Waimea is a great place!
Very nice Inn, that was clean and quiet. The suite was very large and it was nice to come back and relax after a day full of activities. Don't stay here - or Waimea - if you're looking for a lot of restaurants and nightlife. That said, it's a great place to come, disconnect and relax.
Our stay with Patrick at the Inn Waimea was great. We stayed in the Beach Cottage, which I don't think had its own Airbnb listing but Patrick gave us that option since everything else was booked during our timeframe. The cottage could use some renovation but everything was perfectly clean and functional. Patrick is well aware of this and through our conversations we learned that the Inn has undergone many improvements as of late, with more big plans to come.
The location was a huge positive for us -- literally steps away from the beach and two markets (Ishihara & Big Save). It is also walking distance from JoJo's Shave Ice and about a 5-minute drive from the Plantation Cottages where we attended a friend's wedding. Staying on the south side of the island had much more of a small-town feel than our previous stay on the North side. By that I mean we felt more integrated into the local community rather than being isolated off in a artificial resort-style place for tourists.
Patrick himself was very gracious and accommodating. He had a bunch of recommendations for things to see and do during our stay which was really helpful. He comes off as very genuine and cares about the local community. Toward the end of our stay he asked us if we had any feedback, and even though our points were relatively minor and nit-picky it was all taken seriously. I would 100% recommend staying at the Inn, we were well taken-care of.
Inn Waimea offered much, much more than we expected and Patrick, our host, was courteous and helpful. The immediate environs of the Inn are private, quiet and close to everything in Waimea Town. We stayed upstairs in the Banana Suite and had views to the ocean, an antique writing desk, and a comfy bed. Thanks Patrick and the Inn Waimea team!
Patrick made us feel completely welcome. Unfortunately, for us, plane delays made it impossible for us to get to Kauai on the day we planned, so we were unable to stay at the Inn Waimea. Patrick graciously made other arrangements, and refunded our costs for Inn Waimea.
Comfortable room in a quiet setting. Patrick contacted us before arrival and was available if we needed anything. Pictures and description of suite were exactly as described.
Inn Waimea was yet another great experience with airbnb. Patrick introduced me to the inn and the town along with good recommendations for hikes in the canyon. He is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I stayed in the Bamboo suite which is comfortable and spacious with pleasant views of the ocean from both the living room and the bedroom. Cross-ventilation is great so there was no need to turn on the air conditioner. The suite had everything needed for a comfortable stay. There are two grocery stores within a block of the inn. Waimea town is an oasis of old rural Hawaii. The town is completely walkable and people are friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will return. I recommend the inn and the town to anyone looking for simple relaxation and a great base for exploring west Kauai.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Inn Waimea. Patrick was friendly and accommodating and our room (Bamboo Suite) was great. Plenty of space for two of us for 6 nights. We enjoyed walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach - everything in Waimea is really accessible. Would stay again! Thanks Patrick.
Nice experience! Patrick is very helpful on giving ideas to help with the trip. Location is good. Pretty close to highway. Gets a bit loud with the morning traffic. Wranglers is delicious. You get a 10% discount just for staying at the Inn. Overall it was great. Close to the canyon.
The place was very nice. The price was good and we had plenty of space. It's very close to Waimea Canyon which we loved. The only downside is that there isn't much going on in Waimea, so we ended up spending most of our time in Poipu or out hiking.
