Although we could not meet Nana personally, we always had the feeling that she is taking good care of everything, like, handing over the keys, making sure the apartment is clean, when we arrive and so on. She always responded very quickly on our messages. When arrived, we found a basket full of treats with a little card explaining everything we needed to know (like how to accedd the wifi, how to reach out to Nana just in case and so on). The neighbourhood was nice and safe, as far as we can tell. Nice cafés around the corner and a great coffee shop in the house. Everything was just as described and the pictures show what you get.
We enjoyed our stay at the charming little apartment! It was nice to have a bit more space than in a hotel for our stay in NYC. Great location-close to subway!
Nana&Karim were very helpful and friendly. Apartment is exactly as on pictures, or actually even better, I felt welcomed and whole trip was just great. There's everything one needs in a fully functional apartment. Definitely recommended, next time I'm in NY I will definitely try to stay at their place again.
We spent four nights in this apartment over the new year. It had everything we needed and expected, except maybe a living area, apart from the two high chairs in the kitchen, there is nowhere to sit!
The hosts were prompt and very easy to deal with. The apartment is located in Chinatown and within walking distance of subways, restaurants and bars.
The juicery downstairs makes great coffee! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment and would be happy to return myself.
Super petit appartement très bien entretenu et chaleureux, calme et parfaitement situé pour visiter Manhattan et brooklin. Très bon organisation de nana et Karim pour notre accueil, nous reviendrons très certainement à cette adresse !
This was our first time using Airbnb and it was a great experience. The apartment was clean and comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Nana was very easy to communicate with and super friendly. I highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again!
Nana and Karim were incredible hosts. They were communicative and accessible for anything we needed, which was minimal since the apt was so great. We couldn't have been happier, and was definitely a trip to remember.
Nana and Karim were incredibly friendly hosts and were always responsive to text/email. The location is awesome - you are within walking distance of all the great bars and restaurants of the Lower East Side, and only a half block from the F train subway.
We had a good stay at the apartment. The location is very good and very close to the sub. The neighborhood is nice with everything you need within short distance.
Our communication with Nana was very good with quick answers.
Our overall expectations of the apartment were met regarding size and standard. We missed a small kitchen table, the sofa and chair were stained and there was no duvet cover to one of the beds. The general cleanliness was ok.
We can recommend this apartment for those who are looking for a good location not expecting more than sleeping in it.
Nana & Karim were not available to meet with us, but did arrange for us to get our key in a clearly defined place with lots of contact numbers to assist us.
The apartment was easy to find with lots of street parking that made arrival and unloading bags easier. There were reasonable lots nearby for long-term parking. There is a subway stop nearby (less than 10min). The apartment was located on the fourth floor and was fairly quiet, but this could be a concern for anyone with accessibility or other limitations (there is no elevator).
The listing was as shown -- a reasonable size for our family of 3. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen was small but workable for simple meals and coffee (so long as you're comfortable with a french press). They have no tv, but there is scrabble, a guitar, and a couple of wine glasses, so who needs one? ;-) They also have pretty great book collection if you're feeling bold enough to read someone else's books.
The neighbourhood is pretty great -- really varied, bustling but not packed, lots of good places to eat, looked to be lots of good spots for a drink or for an overpriced-but-mindblowing coffee, and for some reason there are lots of barber shops. It's also close to the williamsburg and manhattan bridges, and to little italy, chinatown, and east village... all interesting places to visit.
We had a great time!
Thanks to you both.
Nana is good friend and amazing host. I highly recommend her apartment in New York city for everybody: nice area, friendly people, subway is near and ypu can enjoy awesome cappuccino in Brawn cafe every morning!
Hi, I rented from Nana before she signed up with (website hidden), and she was the ultimate hostess. Her flat was exactly as advertised, in the ideal location, and included all of the amenities needed to make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend her and guarantee you'll enjoy your experience in NYC.
I've stayed with other NYC hosts on (website hidden) and have had problematic experiences and this was, by far, the most ideal. Nana is highly recommended without any reservations whatsoever.
I have known Nan since we were TEENAGERS. She's always been the perfect balance of fun and class, and her apartment is SICK. I'd trust her with anything. She's fun to talk to, knows a LOT of things about things, and even more things about specific things.
Anyway, we met in college and she's one of the small handfull of college friends I still call close friends. You'd be LUCKY to stay with her!
