Married with 3 children (2 in college). I'm a freelance translator (French) and my wife's an architect. We love traveling and have stayed in numerous rentals by owners across the US, Canada and Europe. Never had a bad surprise!
Linda's place was everything we were looking for plus some. Very roomy for a larger group, with a full kitchen (a must when traveling with kids), comfortable beds, amazing view over lower Manhattan, direct bus access to mid-town (literally in front of the door), easy street parking and a supermarket 2 blocks down the street. Linda is a very friendly person who was very responsive to our specific needs/requests and was there to greet us. Even got to briefly meet her beautiful family. Overall, this place is very affordable compared to similar listings in the area, although the additional guest rate (above 6 guests) is somewhat higher than average and brings the total cost more in line with other places if you're a larger group. I would definitely recommend it for a family looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in NYC. Only warning: it's on 3 floors (kitchen and bath on top), so definitely not for guests with limited mobility.
