Bed and breakfast located in the northern Alps of Japan.Home of the 1998 winter olympics,Hakuba is the heart of skiing in Japan.
Albert and his wife were so welcoming! Albert is very knowledgable about Hakuba and the ski parks and helps in anyway possible eg organizing lift passes/ski schools/hire gear with discounts and provides lifts to the fields. Breakfast every morning was great with something for everyone. The rooms were private with heaters and comfy beds. B&B itself warm and cosy! Would definitely recommend!!!
Albert and his beautiful family could not of been anymore helpful or welcoming. From the moment we arrived ( to the wrong station) Albert did everything to help us out including picking us up from hakuba station in stead of goryu, the rooms are a good size for Japan with clean warm bedding, they even helped us book a restaurant in Tokyo and they are never to busy to have a chat or help you out with anything!!
Albert and Fumi are great hosts - extremely hospitable and offer great tips about things to do in the area, they take great care of their guests. The place is very clean, cosy, with high speed wifi and always a nice vibe. Albert is right to say that this is a outdoor paradise, there's always something to do...and Albert is the person to go to as he lives the outdoors! I had so much fun there that I had to extend my stay at Santana B&B. Hakuba is a great place to visit and I would definitely recommend to stay at Santana B&B when you are there.
Albert and Fumika are amazing. The level of hospitality they offer is on world class standards. Just when I arrived I got recommendations to spend my afternoon and tips on getting around the lovely place of Hakuba. My room was great, very clean and roomy. :) Santana is a beautiful Bnb and I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. During summer the surroundings are beautiful and the walks and bikerides you can do are great.
Albert is the man and his place is awesome. We visited In the summer time and enjoyed hiking & biking in the Hakuba area. His place is close to some good restaurants and local spots. Albert is super helpful and a good person. We look forward to visiting his place again in the winter.
Albert and his wife Fumika run a comfortable friendly and cosy lodge just a short distance from the base lift station at Hakuba Goryu.
Rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a very spacious common area with a wood combustion stove. Meals and snacks are available and every morning a generous breakfast is provided free of charge.
Nothing is too much trouble for Albert from booking lessons and purchasing lift tickets to even organising a home made birthday cake! He came and collected us at the bus stop and time permitting will take you to Hakuba station or up to the ski runs.
Most of all the other guests all seemed very friendly and sociable and many are return visitors.
Our stay at Albert and Fumika's place was fantastic: a cosy, nice house with a fire place to sit close by, a clean and nice - though small - room with en suite. But lots of space for us on the comfy sofa with-a-view on the 2nd floor, good food and very nice hosts, who helped us a lot to plan our hikes. What else would you want?
B&B Santana is exactly what I was looking for for my weekend stay in Hakuba Goryu. It was within walking distance from the bus stop, train, slopes, bars, restaurants, and even onsen! It is less crowded than neighboring Happo, but accessible to that area of Hakuba as well. The B&B has a great homey feel and is run by a very personable and welcoming family!
Fantastic place to stay, great location, nice atmosphere and good food. Albert will pick you up from the station, arrange lift passes / drop you off at the slopes if you are skiing in the neighbouring resort. There is a nice outdoor Onsen about 30 mins walk away which is great for the evenings too
