Albert and his family were very welcoming! Albert's local knowledge of Hakuba and the ski parks was fantastic and helped us with anything we needed, including organising lift passes, lessons and hiring gear, all at discounted prices. Breakfast every morning was great. The rooms were cozy, with heaters and comfy beds. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to singles, couples or families!
Albert was really good on the communication, and made our stay really enjoyable, lots of good info on ski hire, lessons, and helped us out with booking etc. The family loft room was spacious and had incredibly warm doonas. The whole lodge has a very relaxed and welcoming vibe, in the beautiful snowy hamlet of Hakuba, looked just like the pictures. Walking distance of chair lifts, restaurants and train station.

Albert was a great host, he had picked us up from the station. Which we really appreciate as the weather was at the place waa full of.snow. The room provided was also great, clean, comfortable and homely. The people there were very helpful, helped us to post our snow gears. We had a great stay, would definitely stay again!
The overall experience was Unforgettable
due to our friendly host taking exceptional care of us during our stay. Albert and Humi drove us around, booked restaurants and saved us money nearly everywhere we went. They took care of us just like an old friend would. All three of us were very impressed!

Besides the first day, we were the only visitors during a low-season week in autumn (end of October). During winter, this B&B is packed with wintersport lovers! And we can imagine why. The atmosphere is very laid-back and the service friendly. There is a nice big fireplace and there are comfy couches. The room and bathroom are a bit small and simple (standard in Japan). The beds are fine, as is the breakfast and WiFi. The shower could use some more power and there is not much space to store your luggage in the corner room (203). But all in all, we had a very good time at this B&B (which also serves simple evening meals). The location is 4 Km from the center of Hakuba (go to Sounds Like Cafe for nice lunch, coffee and smoothies!). We rented some bikes, which is really recommended if you want to explore the neighbourhood (make sure you bring your own bike lights, it gets very dark in the evening). We hiked on the Iwatake hill (relaxed walk of 1,5 hours, nice autumn colours), and Karamatsu mountain (2696 meters high, quite challenging, takes 5-6 hours in total) and both are very rewarding in their own way. We even went out on an adventurous mountainbike with Albert, the nice owner. We would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone who likes an active holiday in the mountains. Thank you Albert and Fumi, for making our stay unforgettable!
Albert and his wife were so welcoming! Albert is very knowledgable about Hakuba and the ski parks and helps in anyway possible eg organizing lift passes/ski schools/hire gear with discounts and provides lifts to the fields. Breakfast every morning was great with something for everyone. The rooms were private with heaters and comfy beds. B&B itself warm and cosy! Would definitely recommend!!!
Albert and his beautiful family could not of been anymore helpful or welcoming. From the moment we arrived ( to the wrong station) Albert did everything to help us out including picking us up from hakuba station in stead of goryu, the rooms are a good size for Japan with clean warm bedding, they even helped us book a restaurant in Tokyo and they are never to busy to have a chat or help you out with anything!!
Albert and Fumi are great hosts - extremely hospitable and offer great tips about things to do in the area, they take great care of their guests. The place is very clean, cosy, with high speed wifi and always a nice vibe. Albert is right to say that this is a outdoor paradise, there's always something to do...and Albert is the person to go to as he lives the outdoors! I had so much fun there that I had to extend my stay at Santana B&B. Hakuba is a great place to visit and I would definitely recommend to stay at Santana B&B when you are there.
