We are a pretty normal family of 3. Hudson is our three year old - he's kind of the boss. Karl is about as unlikely an accountant as you will ever meet, and Mira used to work in HR but these days she is the family's travel coordinator.
We all like to travel (yes, even the little guy) and have been all over North and South America, Europe, and New Zealand. We have recently sold our home in Waterloo, Ontario so that we can spend the next year on the road. The itinerary is still being worked out ;). We are pretty laid back travelers, preferring to linger and enjoy each others company rather then trying to check off every tourist trap.
One of our favourite travel moments: Driving through Austria on a Monday in September. Mostly everything was closed so we went for a stroll through a pear orchard near an old castle. We picked about 6 different varieties of pears, sat down under a tree and watched our then 9 month crawl around and explore. Just one of those "life is good" type moments.
The five things we each can not live without?
Karl: 1.iPhone 2. thermarest 3. camera 4. The Beetles 5. Mira's cooking (yup -that is a shameless plug)
Mira: 1. coffee 2. CBC radio 3. birkinstocks 4. wine and cheese 5. Leonard Cohen
Hudson: 1. wooden train set 2. cucumbers 3. PB and J sandwiches, 4. purple juice 5. his blue truck (with red trailer)
Karl : A good plan today is better then a great plan tomorrow.
Mira: Twenty years from now, you will regret the things you had not done more then the things you have.
