Don't be confused by the reviews, we have a Cabin in Tahoe and a small hotel in San Francisco...
Also my wife Anita is fluent in Spanish
We had a comfortable stay in this fabulous location. Hosts left great information about the house and were available to answer the couple of questions we had during our stay. I've spent many nights in Tahoe City but have never slept as well. The firm bed, lots of pillow options and the fabulous humidifier were winners! Hanging out in the hot tub beforehand probably didn't hurt either.
I am very likely to stay again and to recommend the place to others.
My boyfriend and our dog recently stayed at Trip and Anita's cabin in Tahoe City. We had a great vacation--the home was clean, welcoming, and they even provided dog towels and dog bowls for our pooch. The owners were very responsive, especially after there was some initial confusion over the dates we requested. They responded immediately to my queries. The cabin is on a residential street near Fat Cats (yum!) and central to many hiking trails and ski resorts. For dog owners, this is an ideal spot to vacation and I would definitely stay here again. A heads up that if you have a dog that's bad off leash you should be aware that the backyard isn't fenced, but there's a fenced dog park about 3 blocks away if you need to let him/her run around.
I stayed here with my parents, my girlfriend, and our 2 dogs for an extended weekend. This place was really great. Outdoor hot tub was perfect. The best part, other than the hot tub, was probably the kitchen. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked with tons of pots, pans, basics (oil, spices, etc.), and even liquor if we wanted. The place was very spacious on the inside and also had a great direct tv and internet. The owners made us feel extremely welcome by leaving us doggie bags, doggie biscuits, towels, toys, and even toothbrushes, etc., if we needed any. The location was also great, 2 block walk from downtown Tahoe City, so we were able to walk to breakfast/dinner/drinks.
Overall, very great stay. Only thing that could've improved the place would've been a fenced in back yard or if the back patio was fenced in, but we would gladly stay here again and recommend this to anyone.
We really enjoyed our stay at Trip and Anita's place. It was a bit like the Tardis—deceptively small on the outside, but fairly spacious inside, and cozy too. The place was well stocked with towels, blankets, sheets, games, condiments, silverware, dishes, cooking pots and everything you could need. We probably would have left half the stuff we brought with us at home if we'd known how well appointed the place was.
The location was really close to downtown Tahoe City and is a very residential neighborhood. If you're looking for a "cabin in the woods", it's not really that kind of place.
The hot tub was the highlight for me. It worked well, was clean and really soothed away those aches and pains that come from a few days on the slopes.
Thanks Trip - we had a really nice time.

Great location in Tahoe City. Trip and Anita were easy to communicate with and the place was perfect for a relaxing weekend in Lake Tahoe.
Awesome, great location super close to town. They were very responsive with a hot tub issue. Recommended.
Outstanding location in Tahoe City. The cabin is about a 10 minute stroll off the main drag, close to bars, restaurants, shops, and the Lake. Everything was clean and four (tall) mountain bikers spent the weekend very comfortably. While I didn't get a chance to meet Trip & Anita, the communication was effortless throughout and they were very attentive to detail. We would definitely stay there again.
Everything went smoothly. Very nice room in a great part of town. Would return definitely.
Great rooms, the living room is fantastic. Very welcoming, quick check in, quick check out. Perfect for a short trip to SF.
