My husband and I live in Australia, although I was born in the USA. We have four adult children, 3 of whom live in the United States - our eldest son in Boston, and our two other sons in Honolulu. Our daughter lives in Adelaide. We all love to travel - generally backpacker grassroots style because we like to mix and mingle with other people. Perhaps testament to this is that we provided 'homestay' accommodation to overseas students for 15 years whilst our children were at home. I always felt that we were providing 'family' to our students, and indeed we remain like 'family' to some of our past students, and are known as 'Mum and Dad'.
In short - we love meeting people, we love to travel, and our family are paramount. We are also very active. This year Gerard is running the 2011 New York Marathon as a fundraiser for Catherine House, an organisation that works towards solving homelessness for women (and I work for Catherine House!).
