From Staten Island, live in Portland OR I like to eat and own 4 restaurants.
Dayna's spot was absolutely perfect for our trip. Close to Alberta, several of her own great eateries (boxer ramen, yakuza, beast) and to the main alberta drag.
We got in late and grabbed a bite at the only spot open after 1130pm, Expatriate. No issue with getting in or out of her place, completely laissez faire. Quiet chill street, steps from the 'bustle'.
Modern and well appointed, it was perfect for our needs.
Had an amazing time at the Kuza Cabin, very small and comfy. The neighborhood is amazing, although we didn't get a chance to eat at Yakuza (the cabin is directly behind Yakuza restaurant) we did get brunch at Beast, which out of all the amazing food we had in Portland Beast blew everything out of the water. Also...the hot tub is awesome, stayed hot the entire time. We would def come back.
This place is amazing! We loved staying there and were sad to leave. The location was great. Awesome restaurants and bars from fancy to causal right next to and below this great private home. Yakuza was delicious. I would highly recommend Dayna's home to anyone staying in PDX. Dayna was so easy to deal with and responded immediately to any question. Never having a chance to use the hot tub was our only regret. Parking was street only but super easy to find a spot. This house has everything u would need for an extraordinarily stay. Thanks Dayna
The check-in was hassle free with code entry. The cottage is centrally located within an easy walk to dozens of shops, bars, and restaurants.
Because it is located next to a restaurant, there can be some noise coming from workers into the late evening, though this did not really disturb us. Also, the ceiling height in the bathroom is a bit short and you will find yourself ducking your head just a bit if you are 6 foot or taller. The shower does drop down a step, though and is quite nice.
Over all I would certainly recommend this place for anyone looking for a short or medium term stay. Everything needed for cooking is just an arm's reach away.
I had a great short stay at the Kuza Cottage. It's an incredibly cute and cozy place. Thank you Dayna!
Dayna's home is an oasis away from home- comfortable for families and great Portland location. We are already planning our next trip!
What a wonderful experience! Dayna's home is fun, unique, and in a great part of town. My friend and I only stayed for a couple of nights as a staycation, but it was wonderful and I can't wait to stay again in the future. It had all of the amenities of home and I would definitely recommend sharing this space with some great friends and/or family as it is a very open floor plan and allows for entertaining and enjoying time together. Dayna was really responsive and clear with her instructions and communication as well, which made things very easy re: check-in and checkout.
We absolutely loved our stay at Dayna's. It was one of the most unique, lovely listings I've ever stayed at. We were grateful to stay in a place that felt so Portland-appropriate during our time there--natural feel, fantastic art. The outdoor space is so lovely, as well, and the neighborhood is absolutely charming!
The loft was really cool and had great design elements. It was very clean, and consistent with the description. There were some good places to eat in the area, so location is good. If looking for more of a downtown stay, ie. Pearl St, than you may want to look downtown.
We loved staying at Dayna's place. You can't beat the location! And it was surprisingly and pleasantly quiet even though it's over a happening restaurant. There is lot's to do within walking distance, and downtown isn't that far away either.
Dayna is great
Dayna, an Airbnb host, was a wonderful visitor. She was independent, easily finding her way around and meeting locals as she went. Her experience as a traveler was evident. She was a fantastic conversationalist. Her natural interest, curiosity and friendliness made her the dream guest.
