The home view is absolutely insanely breathtaking.
The ride up the steep hill to arrive there in not for the faint at heart, elderly, or those afraid of heights.
The ride up was super steep, but U do obtain a prize at the end when you arrive at your gorgeous villa.
The house is spacious, lovely decor and the view is for sure the highlight
The pool is gorgeous, sunsets are bREaTheTAKIng.
The room fans cool the space nicely.
I wish there where some fans in the main hosting areas.
I definitely would recommend the home.
Rogelio the house guard was truly lovely, even picking and cutting fresh coconut from the trees on the premises.
My elderly family members where a little "bummed" about there being no tv (to me a blessing) but when I was looking for a place I didn't even think of that as a need. Wifi worked well
Wally was so quick to respond, flexible, and accommodating.
My family had a vacation that will forever be imprinted in our memory.
I loved experiencing this airbnb, definitely on the top of my experiences!
We had a fabulous time in Wally's gorgeous home. The panoramic views were spectacular and we particularly enjoyed the open verandah and refreshing swimming pool overlooking the ocean and miles of palm trees! Wally was very helpful throughout the booking process and the caretaker of the home (Rogelio) and his wife were also kind and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful tropical retreat! We are looking forward to returning!
The house is absolutely gorgeous, breath taking views the location is simply perfect! If you are looking for peace & tranquility at its max this Villa is it. Wally is an awesome host she responded to our request very quickly and answered all our questions before, and during our stay. The house has all the accessories of daily living, the kitchen is fully stocked. The house also has a grill, yes we BBQ! The pool is lovely so relaxing if you get a chance to get up at 6am to watch the sunrise I highly recommend you do. It is an unforgettable experience. Rogelio the (housekeeper) kind of shocked me at first site because he is missing an eye but he greeted my family and showed us around and with in a phone call he was at our door every time. He was very nice and helpful. We requested some information about horseback riding and with in hours we had 6 horses at our disposal. We went horseback riding into the mountains the views are even more spectacular up there. My daughter and son loved the experience and our last day they did not want to leave. The main town is about 10 minute drive, you'll see many variety of restaurants we had Italian for dinner right by the beach and it was delicious and relaxing, just how a Vacation should be. The Supermarket (Leon) was a 5 minute drive down the road you'll find a little of everything in there for daily use for your stay. The entrance for the villa is difficult to find if it wasn't for a sign stating Vista Coson you can miss the entrance. If your coming in at night time the entrance is not visible being that everything is pitch black to find you have to drive very slow to catch it and make sure you have some sort of 4 wheel drive vehicle because the road up to the Villa is very steep. I will recommend this villa 150%, it was an unforgettable experience! I will be back!
Well first off, I would like to express how awesome Wally is, as a host. Although we only communicated through Air Bnb, she was more than helpful and very responsive! Everyone in Las Terranes was amazing! We arrived to this beautiful home around 3 o'clock. The drive up to the house was breathtaking, so can you imagine the view? Once we got there, Rogelio greeted us with the biggest smile! Showed us around the house, made us feel at home.. Literally! We hadn't eaten all day, so his son Jensi drove us to the nearest super market (only 10 minutes away), to get everything we needed! He was so kind, well mannered, and so helpful! I wish more people were like that in America. Once we got back to the house, we had nothing but time. We were eager to see everything and meet everyone. But once we stepped foot in the backyard? We were already in paradise! My heart dropped to my toes. The view is to die for! Waking up to that sunrise was the highlight of my day, every single day! And what made this home a lot better, were the people. Rogelio, his son, and all of his family members! They were all so helpful, with whatever we needed. We live a very minimalist life, so this area was more than perfect for us. The beach is within walking distance, but we decided to rent an ATV ($50 a day), so we didn't have to bug anyone about taking us places. We did not want to be a burden to anyone, so we did what we could. And the ATV we rented, was all we needed! The town isn't too hard to maneuver around, we instantly got the hang of it. A few one ways we didn't realize (lol), but everyone was patient with us. I would like to explain how different Las Terranes is compared to Punta Cana. This is our first time coming to the DR, so we wanted to see more than one side of the island. We booked a few days in Las Terranes and a few days in Punta Cana (bad idea). As I stated before, we live very minimalist lives, and Las Terranes was EXACTLY what we wanted. So leaving there, and going to Punta Cana was the worst idea ever. Everyone in Las Terranes appreciates the land and the people, they respect and take pride in it. Now Punta Cana? All they care about is money. They don't care about you, or if you're comfortable. They literally only care about making money and getting over on the tourists. Definitely was not the place for us. We stayed there for two days and couldn't take it anymore. We contacted Wally to see if her home was booked (which it was, as expected because why wouldn't it be?), but luckily she was able to recommend us to the house right next door! Hearing this lifted a weight off our shoulders, and...
Just one world : Amazing view and area !
This is the first time ever i wanted to go back just after my flight landed in New york.
I would love to spend all my WE there.
You have different beaches all beautiful, many different kind of restaurant ( french community there) , snorkeling, diving, spring fall, kite surf.....
Music speakers quite strong!
Moreover, communication was perfect ( fast, many informations) and there were people on the site to help us for ANYTHING ( local Alcohol, ice, charcoal etc...)
I really have no words to describe how beautiful the place and, especially, the view, is. Even the pictures posted here do not quite do justice to the amazing panoramic views one has from the house. Nearby Coson beach was also extremely beautiful, and so were other beaches in the area. We had an amazing, relaxing time. If you want to get away from everything and pretty much everyone and oversee paradise from atop a hill, this is it.
We really enjoyed Wally's house. Great view perfect pool. The power and water went off periodically but it wasn't often. The fans are adequate so you really don't need AC to sleep. The driveway hill is very steep for walking so make sure you have a car or a scooter which are easy to rent in Las Terrenas. We enjoyed the peninsula very much. Thank you Wally!!!
My partner Ashley and I had an outstanding time at Villa Vista. The home was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed to make our week long stay feel at home on top of a mountain paradise.... with a KILLER view!
We just got back from an amazing 4 day getaway at Wally's beautiful home. As in other reviews, the place is even more outstanding in person! The view is priceless and so breathtaking. My husband did not want to even leave the home to explore since he felt so great there. Fully equipped kitchen, you will find it ALL. Awesome music system that we used while enjoying the pool and we even had a nice family bbq. It literally felt as if it would our home that is how comfortable the house felt. Linens are comfortable, decor is tasteful, water pressure was perfect and never had any issues with hot water which is typical in DR. Rogelio is an amazing caretaker. Humble and have lots of helpful tips about las terrenas. Looking forward to booking for a month next time!
We had the most amazing stay!! The house looks just like the pictures and is truly stunning. The bedrooms are comfortable and roomy enough to fit 6 people no problem. Getting to the house is interesting as it does sit atop a very steep hill, but it wasn't an issue for our car and it made for a good workout walking back up from the beach! Wally was very helpful with our ever changing arrival times and Rogelio was waiting for us when we got to the house. He is very helpful, called us a cab the first day so we could get groceries and was around if we needed anything. The felt pretty safe, it is somewhat secluded so if you want to explore las terranas (or just get groceries) you should rent a car for sure. The easiest way to do that is to walk down the path to the beach and ask for help at the small hotel there you will run into. We rented a car for about half of our stay to explore some of the downtown which has lots of nice restaurants. Overall I would definitely recommend this house it was the trip of a lifetime!!
