James and his apartment were absolutely great. This was a very last minute booking and I just want to thank James for responding so fast. The apartment was very cute and comfy. I felt right at home. I especially loved the big comfy couch :) I am from the area myself and trust me you cant get any better in terms of location, the supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and the gym are literally right outside your doorstep. I highly recommend this place!
James's place was great! The apartment is lovely - cute, quiet, clean and really close to some important subway lines. Access to Manhattan would be easy and quick, if that's what you're looking for, but we loved the place for its proximity to the major Brooklyn highlights we wanted to enjoy - especially Prospect Park, the Botanical Gardens, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Flea. James was friendly, responsive, and very easy to coordinate with. I would definitely recommend this place!
Great location near the park and restaurants. Safe nieghborhood with many subway lines nearby. Comfortable bed and big screen TV. Good communication with owner and very flexable with getting the keys. Older unit with strong cigarette smell and icky tub.
The place was great. It was exactly as it appears and is what it claims to be. Park Slope is a great neighborhood in Brooklyn. It is prefect if you want to get a real New York experience vs. the Time Square madness.
The building is old, well maintained and clean, but old. Keep that in mind if you are used to 4 or 5 star hotels. I would stay here again.
Conveniently close to several nice restaurants and bars on 5th. Fairly close to the subway. The apartment was nice and cozy. The shower was kinda ugly, but it was fine.
James' apartment is ideally located near 5 subway lines with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and exploring Prospect Park as well as the Brooklyn Museum. He was most helpful in making arrangements to pick up the keys to his place.
