Sinead is a very nice girl, easy to talk to. We stayed there for a week and the place is very close to some spots: cliffs of moher, Doolin (very beautiful little town) Galway, Shannon....Gort town is right in the corner, so it was very convenient to grab something from the super market and cook in the kitchen if you miss home cooking. We rented a car and it was very helpful, we even drove north to Achill Island (beautiful island). We enjoyed the great conversation with Kitty.
What an unexpectedly great experience. The moment we stepped off the bus in Gort, she was there waiting to pick us up. We arrived to the house, with a kettle, tea, and coffee in our room ready for our personal use. The room as spacious, comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was great, just as advertised. Exceptionally kind and accomodating, Sinéad made us feel at home.
Once we got settled in, we hung out in her Conservatory, where we chatted and got great recommendations and advice with regards to our trip. She gave us our own space in the cupboard and refrigerator, and allowed full use of the kitchen. A small grocery store is a quick ten minute walk down the road, adding to the convenience. In fact, the entire town square is a quick walk up the road, with great pubs, restaurants, some stores, and bus stops (that will take you to Galway and Cork).
Sinéad's roommates are both respectful and great fun. Tristan can have a conversation with anyone, full of stories and friendliness. Kitty is equally cool, loves to trade stories and culture, and is overall really chill. Kitty has an impressive knowledge of history, so if that interests you, she's the person to talk to. Great to chat with them both.
Sinéad is a marvellous host. She's full of helpful information, great conversation, and a caring attitude. She'll point you in the direciton of some local gems, like a nearby monastery or Coole Park. For a small fee, she may even show you her scenic hometown of Kinvara up the road a ways. She's got loads to offer any guest fortunate enough to stay with her and her roommates. If you're lucky, she may even make some delicious muffins. Anything she can do to make you feel at home, she will.
Dear Sinead, thank you so much for your kindness and your help.
Sinead is a lovely person. She prepared for us a very clean room and put for us melon and grapes in the fridge. She gave us very useful informations about the Gort's surroundings and the Burrens. A & T.
