I am a Real Estate agent in the Portland, Maine area. I grew up in New Jersey and spent my summers on the coast of Maine. Maine has always been my happy place so of course was my first post college destination.

This is a very great located spot and over all we had positive experience.
John was very helpful and things went very smoothly.
Listing description was 100% accurate. Place is small and basic but affordable and clean. Immediate neighborhood isn't much, but it's very close to a number of attractions. Street parking was easy. John was very responsive and also gracious about a reservation date change.
Great spot. Really spacious and close walk to downtown.
Good place. Clean. Easy walk to downtown and Old Port.
A perfect spot for 2 people. Just what we were looking for. John was a very gracious host.
The room was just as described, and perfect for an overnight. We had a question about the keys, and John got right back to us to answer. He also sent a follow-up text to let us know how to adjust the heat and make sure we were ok with everything. Great first AirBnB experience!
John wasn't in town, but access to the room was simple and straightforward. The room was great, and as pictured! The neighborhood is somewhat sparse, but the location was close to congress st. Great place, and John was great as well!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
John was friendly and responsive, and the space was alright, pretty bare bones. The location was easily accessible to the downtown area, and I didn't feel uncomfortable despite the "transitional area" (lots of public assistance places and people hanging out nearby. ) I actually think we were in the wrong room, since John rents out multiple units in the building. It got the job done and was the cheapest option in Portland proper, especially since we were there on a holiday weekend.
The apartment is conveniently located so it's easy to walk to the many awesome breweries in East Bayside or visit Congress Street, Portland's main thoroughfare. Another plus: the neighborhood felt very safe. If you're looking for a place to hunker down at the end of a long day of exploring this is a good spot. It was very clean and had the basic essentials (although the couch in the picture wasn't present.) The only issue was the paper-thin walls. A group of three was staying next door and it was very easy to hear their laughter and shouting throughout the night. Overall though, a very good experience!
