Friendly and hospitable host. I'd be happy to share with you info of the neighborhood and NYC itself.
From reading the reviews I pretty much knew Mark is a decent person. Still, I was surprised by the funny – there is a good load of laughing potential with Mark. Mark, I enjoyed spending time with you. Thanks for being kind, considerate and co-dependent. I hope I get to meet you again.
Wonderful Mark, he is a 9.5/10 host. Love the coffee & fruit juice that he offered. Never forget the interesting time at Moma with the host. Definitely will come back and reccomend others to stay at his house.
Mark is a very fun host. He's very sociable, generous, and accommodating, all with a touch of sass. It's clear he enjoys meeting and getting to know new people. If you are very introverted and want a very quiet place to stay with no social interactions, this might not be the place for you, but if you want to hear some great stories and guitar music, and chat about food and health and things to do in NY, Mark is your guy.
In general, it was an interesting experience: to see how airbnb works, what to expect, which questions to ask if I try again to use their network. Plus, it was a treat to meet Mark who is a very original, nice and tactful person. The location is very convenient, just a 5 minute walk to the L-train stop.
However, there are several things you cannot discern from the description on the site. No room (including the bathroom and bedroom) has doors. There are curtains instead. The bed is very good but the bedroom does not have any inlets of fresh air except for the named curtained door. Probably, you may choose sleeping in the living room, but this one is a walk-through room. The apartment is on the 3rd walk-up floor.
Great place and very helpful host. I would recommend it to anyone!
Mark is a funny and generous guy. My stay was pleasant there. Will go back again without a second thought.
Mark is a delightful guy and makes a real effort. A+ host.
Mark was an amazing host. He not only entertained me during my stay with his amazing stories and knowledge of the city . He also guided me to tons of great places to eat and hang around. Would definitely come back and stay again.
It was great staying at Mark's place. The location is one of the best in Manhattan with so many cool restaurants around. Mark is a very interesting and talented person and gave me a list of restaurants to try. And he can make great coffee! I enjoyed staying there.
Mark invited me into his home and generously shared his knowledge of East Village. Forever young and an absolute gentleman, Mark is an exceptional host! Grazie mille, carino!
