It was a really nice place to stay with a great balcony. The nearby area is nice with plenty of food shops and restaurants around.
It's also not a bad downhill walk into town I found.
Panos was also very prompt with any questions I had.
I highly recommend staying there.
I stayed in Panos's apartment for 3 weeks and it was perfect. I enjoyed being in a real neighborhood, with the church on one side and a view of Mt Lykavitos on the other. The terrace was huge and green with olive trees, lime trees, flowering carnations and more. The breeze was constant and I didn't use the air conditioning much at all. The apartment is comfortable, and there are great affordable places to.eat. It is a 15 minute walk to the metro but I enjoyed making that walk at different times of day and seeing the rhythms of the neighborhood. Agatha was friendly and helpful and helped me find a minimarket as I had i arrived on a holiday and stores were closed. Panos was helpful too. I didn't need much orienting, but they would have been happy to help me with advice about transportation, food, sights, etc. this is a special place, and I would definitely come back!
An ideal place, thoughtfully supplied beyond essentials (for example, several umbrellas were waiting to be used and the kitchen cabinets were partially stocked by previous residents). In an area of Athens that we have come to love, and one, moreover, that is conveniently connected to the rest of the city by three or four trolley-bus lines. Excellent supermarket just around the corner. Plus our host Panos responded to all concerns immediately via Wi-Fi and has a very helpful neighbor in the building on call. We felt very lucky to have such a comfortable, convenient, tastefully-appointed place and thoughtful owner.
We spent a full four weeks at Panos’s, from the 26 of April to the 24th of May. This was not a holiday, as we were both working, Claudio at the University and Nicola following an intensive course of Modern Greek. We found the flat absolutely ideal. Its location was perfect, with very good transport, in an area that we already knew and liked.
The facilities the flat offers, its spaciousness, its thoroughly appointed kitchen, comfortable double bed, fast wifi connection, and last but not least the wonderful shady terrace with it well cared-for plants, were perfect for us.
Panos himself was in Athens, and welcomed us when we arrived from the airport, and was most helpful showing us over the flat, we were in touch by e mail and we also had his telephone, but we did not need to bother him, as everything worked smoothly.
We thoroughly recommend this flat, for work or holiday, for a long or a short stay.
We had a great 3 weeks in this lovely apartment over Christmas. It's a bright, airy, comfortable and roomy apartment on the fifth floor of a small apartment block. We'd really recommend it.
The apartment is very well equipped, and in the summer the balcony would be a fantastic space. It's spacious, with a good view of Lycabettus hill and the surrounding roof tops, and there is lots of greenery, with olive trees in big pots.
The apartment is in a great position, with excellent local tavernas very close by, as well as a great bakers and every shop you could possibly need. You really experience Greek life and feel part of the neighbourhood, but are also very close to the centre of Athens and all the sites. You can easily walk to the centre, but it's also very simple to pick up a bus or trolley, and the Metro is only about 15 minutes walk away.
We'd recommend exploring the area around the apartment, if you have the time. We discovered lots of interesting little squares, nice cafes, and local tavernas with great food, a lively atmosphere and no other tourists.
The flat is in a quiet street, and isn't at all noisy. We appreciated the wooden shutters in the bedroom which meant it was dark and peaceful and we slept very well in the comfortable bed.
All of the arrangements were very straight forward, and Agatha was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Panos kept in touch by email, and made sure everything was going OK, as well as giving us some useful tips about the area.
Like a lot of apartment blocks in Athens at the moment the central heating wasn't in use - a fall out from the economic crisis - but we had two excellent large electric heaters which did a good job of heating the place up when it was needed.
All in all, it's a great place to stay. It started to feel like home to us, and we'd definitely come back.

Pan's house was the nicest place we stayed during our two weeks in Crete. The apartment and surrounding neighborhood are amazing...across the street from a grocery store, one block from a bar/coffee place, an incredibly nice area. Pan and Abigail were incredibly responsive to our questions and made the check in process easy. The views from the balcony are remarkable. We loved waking up here. We spent three days at this house...our jumping off place upon our arrival in Greece...and enjoyed staying here immensely.
This was my first ever experience with airbnb and it was a great introduction to this new method of travel. Pan's apartment was adorable. Full of color and character and extremely well kept. The location was walking distance to the Acropolis (just over a mile). There is a great bakery just down the street where we enjoyed coffee and pastries each morning.
We rode the Metro from the airport to the apartment. There is a bit of a walk from the Metro stop so plan for that if you have lots of luggage. If you do have a few bags, a taxi ride is probably the better choice.
We would definitely stay here again. 5 stars.
Really nice and safe location.
Close to downtown by number 2/11 trolley which is just 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
The apartment was awesome, even better then the picture. super clean and really nice.
Panos was gr8 as well... although never meeting him he provided many tips by email.
Panos was a wonderful host, always helpful. You sholud definitely choose this flat. Flat is well decorated and has a wonderful terrace. Even in hot july, we didn't need to use air condition. There are several places to shop close to flat like: supermarket, bakery, restaurants and cafes. And it is easy to walk city center if you like to walk and also close to Evangelismos Subway Station.
We spent two unforgettable weeks in this lovely and cosy apartment. It truly was home away from home. Clean, bright, positive, safety and spacious. The apartment was perfect for two of us. Every day we enjoyed our breakfast on beautiful terrace. Great location on a quiet street, close to everything (supermarket, pharmacy, bus stop- 1 min, Syntagma - 20 min on foot). Panos did his best to make our stay a very good time. Thank you for being such a great host! Planning to return. Highly recommend this place!
Panos was an excellent guest! It was a pleasure to having him here.
Having Panos in my flat was a real pleasure: it was in very good hand. Communication was perfect, he left the house perfectly clean and in order. Everything perfect, no other words. I hope to see him again in the future and obviously I strong recommend him to the whole Airbnb Community.
Panos et son ami sont très sympa et c était un plaisir de les rencontrer.
Being an AIRBNB host himself, having seen his beautiful apartment and after talking with Panos, I had no doubt that he would be a thoughtful and careful guest. I was proven right, Panos is the perfect guest, no need to write anything more!
Panos and his girlfriend have been very nice guests. We didn't have the chance to meet them but they left a very nice note on the table and they invited us to Athens. Panos, we hope we will be able to come! You are welcome anytime!!
