I am in my early 30's. I have travelled a lot and am half british/ half american. I love to cook, spend time outdoors. I am new to Baltimore and loving exploring the city.

Overall, a nice place with very nice beds, kitchen, and a great location. It may have been an "off" day for the care-taker, but the towels and extra sheets were still wet in the washer when we arrived, and it wasn't be cause we checked in early (having checked in at 6pm, about four hours after the official check-in time). Some other issues include: the master shower was impossible to adjust for temperature, and the water was very very hot; the 3rd floor bath sink did not function, and the fridge was not plugged in (leaving a foul odor when we opened the door to put in a six pack); and there appeared to be water damage on the stairway wall. On a good note, the airmattress for use in the 3rd floor was a really nice bonus, and the deck up there was great for enjoying the spring weather. Hopefully the owner gets the kinks wored out and this will be a killer place for future rentals.
This is a really exceptional space. It gets direct sunlight all day (even the lower levels stay fairly bright), the roof deck is SO NICE, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the neighborhood is EXCELLENT. We loved Fells Point so much, and Canton Square is just as close in the other direction. Really, everything we needed was nearby and the neighborhood was alive without being too noisy. We felt safe, entertained and cozy.
The day we moved in, the home hadn't been cleaned yet and we weren't able to easily communicate with our host because, well, she was in Lesotho! Cleaners weren't able to come until the next morning, so we laundered our own sheets and cleaned up the kitchen a bit, and Alice refunded our first night. The house was almost spotless after the cleaners visited the next morning.
The house is LOVELY, but the more time we spent in it the more its quirks became apparent. The air conditioning wasn't working, the fancy shower heads in the master bath would only spray scalding hot water (unusable), the second shower head and tub-stopper in the shared bathroom were broken, the third floor bathroom sink was not functioning, the dishwasher only runs on "pots and pans" setting, and the clothes washing machine would take hours if it was set on anything other that hot water. (Cold water would only trickle in.) These were all inconvenient - especially considering our expectation of 2 1/2 baths - but didn't spoil our stay.
It's a beautiful home in need of some love and care. Hopefully Alice will take care of these repairs soon, but our experience was pleasant enough that we'd stay here again even with the quirks. :)
The home is beautiful and well preserved. However, having rented homes from owners in Europe and USA, we were supprised and disapointed that cabins and drawers in bedrooms and bathrooms were full of the owners stuff. We could not unpack our bags for the 4 days we stayed there as there was no room for our things.
Located in a great neighbourhood, although as others have pointed out, it's not the best place to find parking after 5pm (worse than San Francisco!). Alice's home is comfortable. I would have given Alice a five star rating if for just one detail: she forgot to call me to let me know the address and I had to call her when I arrived in Baltimore. A potentially scary experience. Stay on top of your communication, Alice, and you'll have an endless supply of happy guests.
Great place in a great location right near Patterson Park. Super clean, everything all new and very comfortable. Grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurants right nearby; convenient to buses to downtown and points beyond as well. The only slight hitch was that Alice was somewhat difficult to contact on check-in day. But once we made contact, everything was perfect!
My friends and I had a wonderful time in Baltimore and the house definitely added to the experience. The house was gorgeous and looked exactly like the photos posted. Everything worked as advertised and it felt like home away from home.
Alice's Baltimore Row House is super comfortable - love the sunlit third floor with balcony, cozy sitting room, and amazing shower !?! (five shower heads!). Also bed and sheets - yum. Easy kitchen to cook in too. Love it all. Any complaints? Floors are so clean a little slippery in socks.
