A country boy at heart, Josh grew up in Ballarat in Victoria. After trying his hand at a range of subjects and hobbies throughout his school years, including theatre, cricket and tennis, he moved to Melbourne to study Biomedical Science at Monash. While he was interested in medical research when he enrolled in the course, he realised that his creativity was slowly dwindling amongst the future doctors and lab technicians. After completing his degree, he started a journalism course in the hopes that it would allow his creative side to shine through, but his expectations weren't met. Finally, he decided on a career as a primary school teacher, (hopefully) starting his studies at Melbourne Uni in 2012.
Josh is a bit of a hippy at heart: he enjoys spending time enjoying nature, prefers the company of friends to the entertainment of a gaming system and has a dream of becoming a Play School presenter by day, and Captain Planet by night.
He is also a bit of an old man, enjoying watching ABC programs and drinking cups of tea, so you won't have to worry about him barging into your home at 3am demanding that you make him a cheese and Vegemite toastie. He won't object to them during the day, but he should be long in bed at that hour of the morning.
