I was born in Hungary, lived in hawaii for 20 years.
I love the hawaiian cultrure, ocean acvtivities, hiking, nature generally speaking.
We had a great time staying with Maggie - clean and quiet place with all of the necessities that we needed. There was even a snorkel set for us to borrow! We took the bus everywhere around the island, which was surprisingly easy and way cheaper than renting a car. Easy to get to nice beaches and Hanauma Bay for amazing snorkeling!
The place is fantastic and we really enjoyed every second of our stay. The location was ideal for us--close to very Hanauma bay (5 mins drive) and even closer to Kokohead (a great, but steep hike). There are plenty of beaches nearby and Waikiki and the north shore are an easy drive. The room is spacious and well-equipped (coffee pot, toaster, dishes, utensils, etc.). You have a private patio and Maggie even provides multiple beach towels, and various beach accessories (boogie boards, beach mats, snorkle equipment, etc.). Maggie even let us use the laundry machines, which was very helpful for us.
The dogs are super friendly and used to welcoming guests...don't let their initial barking scare you! We highly, highly recommend this place and hope you have a lovely time during your stay!
Maggie was very nice. The room was fine and the house was on a very quiet street. There was no way to lock our room when we left for the day, which felt a little weird but we did not have a problem. The yard is in definite need of a little love.
Maggie's house is great and the dogs are sweet! The room was clean and kitted out well. And we really appreciated being able to borrow a couple of things from Maggie's range of snorkel gear, beach seats and boogie boards. The location is great. Thanks!
Absolutely fantastic place to stay in Honolulu, we did not want the tourist high rise hotels of Waikiki and found this studio to be absolutely perfect, beautifully furnished and equipped. It's located on Hawaii Kai a lovely residential approx 10 minutes in car from Waikiki. Maggie the host is absolutely wonderful, very welcoming and friendly and available to provide any information you may need to make your stay enjoyable and very comfortable - absolutely the best!
Maggie was a wonderful host, we had a great time in hawaii despite the bad weather. Thanks!
I was in town for about a week for work and I couldn't have picked a more affordable and welcoming place. Maggie is a great host with 2 really friendly dogs. This was a perfect location for me. I didn't really run into any traffic and it was nice to come "home" to a nice quiet waterfront place. Her place is clean and quiet and parking wasn't an issue at all. I would stay here again the next time I'm in town. Thanks Maggie!
I've stayed at Maggie place for a really short time, but she is a really sweet person! The room was really big and confortable. It's just sad i had to leave the next morning to get back home. I really enjoyed my stay there!
Thank you Maggie for having us in your home. We were gone most of the daytime, but your place was exactly what we needed... a beautiful, serene, clean home to come back to and sleep after a day of sight seeing. We were amazed at how very quiet it was, a great nights sleep. Your location was also perfect for us.
Really enjoyed staying in Maggie's lovely waterfront home. She was a very friendly and welcoming host! I had relaxing coffee-consuming mornings, writing at her patio table, which was open to the water and with a beautiful mountain view. Usually there were some friendly dogs at my side. The room had everything I needed, including a fridge, coffee maker and desk. The neighbourhood was quaint and away from the busy downtown area of Waikiki and Honolulu. I found that I had lots of opportunity to interact with other guests if I wanted to, but felt I had a lot of privacy and quiet time too. I highly recommend staying with Maggie!
