Easy going and flexible.
I live in Fort Greene and have a tiny apartment. When we were celebrating my birthday, we needed a place for out-of-town guests to stay. Lori's apartment was perfect! Great location, lovely space, and plenty of room for 5 people. Highly recommend!!
Love staying at Lori's Place !
location location location !
Though luxury apartment might be pushing it just a little. Overall a great space !
Lori was exceptionally helpful and answered all our questions.
Lori was our gracious host. Very nicely appointed apartment with creative and appealing design touches that made me wish I had them in my home. Lori helped with directions and ideas for area stores and places to eat and pick up food (local deli) which really helped. Good location for our trip and important for me, parking was not a problem..I hope on my next trip to the NYC area we can stay at Lori's place again. Highly recommended, very flexible and helpful.
It was a amazing travel in NY. I stay here with 4 friends for 8 days.
This apartment is very clean, well located, 30 seconds of a metro and 5 minutes from all other metro.
Great neighborhood with everything you need: supermarket, shops, restaurants....
if we return to NY one day we'll come back.
Lori is adorable, she booked us a taxi and was flexible when our arrival and departure times. She also helped us with all our luggage up to the apartment.
C'était parfait, je vous le recommande, proche de tout, propre et avec un métro au pied de l'appart. :)
Nos gusto mucho el apartamento y donde estaba situado. Lori se porto muy bien con nosotros.
Lori's apartment was perfect for our family visit to New York over Christmas. Clean & comfortable apartment very centrally located with easy access to Manhattan, around the corner from the Barclay center, and close to lots to do in Brooklyn--Prospect Park, restaurants, bars. Lori was very flexible about our arrival after a very delayed flight and was helpful with neighborhood recommendations. Thanks Lori!
We had a wonderful time in Brooklyn... with Lori's great flat as a home base! Six of us, and it all worked out fine. Lori made us feel welcome, gave us the advice and directions we needed and answers to the questions that came up. And on "check out" day... when we got a little caught up in our shopping!... she graciously said "No problem...". It's indeed a nice quiet Brooklyn neighborhood.
I stayed with my family at Lori's apartment, this is a great place. Clean, organized, just like the pictures on the website. Subway is few steps from the apartment. The neighborhood is very calm and there are supermarkets and restaurants very near. Lori and her brother are great people, very gracious. I'd stay there again on my next visit to NYC. Thank you Lori.
This is a lovely, clean apartment in a great location and Lori is an excellent host. The apartment was very clean when we arrived -- we could smell the cleaning products (in a good way) and the sheets smelled great too. It's nice that this apartment is used only for rentals, so it's not cluttered at all. The pictures make it look a little sparse but it's actually nice and cozy, and nicely renovated. It has everything you need, and is especially perfect for people with small children as there's nothing to get into and break. Lori was a very gracious host; we had to change our time of arrival the day before we came because of a big snowstorm. She was not only extremely flexible as to timing but gave us her parking spot right in front of the apartment, which was amazing! The location is incredible -- for folks who are not familiar with Brooklyn, it's two blocks from the Atlantic Avenue subway stop, through which nearly every subway line in the city runs, so you can easily get anywhere you want to go in Brooklyn or Manhattan. (The C line, which is one of the few useful subways that doesn't run through Atlantic Avenue, is a block in the other direction from the house.) For those familiar with Brooklyn, I was worried this would be on an ugly block because it's so close to Atlantic Yards -- but it's on a perfectly lovely brownstone block with cafes and restaurants around the corner. The heart of Fort Greene is a 10-minute walk, and Fort Greene park is even closer! Thanks so much, Lori -- we'll definitely be back!
Lori was such a blessing! I had a last minute business trip with a co-worker to NYC & needed accommodations that were not at an astronomical price. Lori was soooo quick to respond to all of our questions even before we booked. We were facing possible flight cancellations due to icy conditions. We did make it to NYC but had a late flight delay. Lori was sooooo flexible and accommodating to meet & get us keys.
Lori's apartment fit us to a tee! Her brother was so gracious to help bring in the luggage. I will say that the apt is BIGGER than it appears in the pictures...unlike most NYC comments about apts being smaller than the pictures. Plenty of room for us to spread out unlike hotel rooms. Beautiful hard wood floors and stainless steel appliances. We cooked, watched TV and worked on our laptops and generally made ourselves at home. Commute into NYC was a snap. You are literally just a few steps away from the subway stop.
Some comments about the "old stairs & blg" that people have commented on. This is a historic building & I so loved the character. Pay attention to the crown molding & stair railing. You DONT see that anymore. Yes the stairs creek a little & some are uneven but they are original stairs and to rip them out would be a disservice to this brownstone. The main thing it was CLEAN and not run down... just a great old brownstone that should be cherished for what it is. Once you are in the apt you are upscale!!!
