My wife and I are from Brooklyn New York. She is a visual artist and I am a web developer/musician. We love seeing new places and meeting new people. We're told we smile a lot.
Had a fantastic stay in Chris and Christina's apartment. The pictures do not do the apartment justice - it's even cuter in person! And fit a group of 4 comfortably. To be honest, I was a little sketched out by the neighborhood at first BUT there is absolutely nothing to worry about. We were walking around late at night (after midnight) and the neighborhood is quiet and everyone in the building was friendly. Perfectly located near the G subway line - literally just 1 block away. and there is a deli right down the street in case you need to pick up anything you forgot to pack! (Or in our case, snacks and cereal for breakfast) My only regret was not checking out the rooftop lounge sooner during my stay. It's absolutely perfect for summer nights. Chris and Christina were great hosts - they kept in touch with us all weekend and left towels out on the bed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay here again for my next trip!
The location is great, the apartment is clean and comfy, and you feel like you're on a dance floor when you're in the staircase ! There's no elevator so be prepare to go up 3 floors with your luggage but it's always good to do some exercise haha. The rooftop is amazing.
I had a great weekend at Chris and Christina's apartment. It was clean, airy and extremely comfortable. They had sent me an email with some local places to eat and I checked out a couple and definitely agreed.
I hope it's available when I return to Brooklyn!
Great apartment in an amazing building! Love the neighborhood, very close to the subway. Would definitely recommend staying with Chris & Christina to anyone going to Brooklyn.
Let's start on a positive note: the pictures are not over selling the apartment (except may be for the second "bedroom" which is really small). The location is very close to a metro G lines but that's it we had a terrible experience.
When we arrived, the sheets were dirty, smelly and obviously used by previous guests and not washed, the bathroom had a used razor left and several used soaps and the toilets were not clean, the bathroom trash was full and the trash in the kitchen under the sink was full and smelly and finally the floor was full of dust. I contacted Christina and she pretended the cleaning lady forgot to come (meaning we slept in dirty sheets one night) ... Ok then she allegedly came the day after and did some cosmetic cleaning: empty the trash and remove the soaps and that's it: the floor was still full of dust, she gathered some dust and put it in the toilet without flushing and here is what I found when I arrived: (website hidden) It was obvious the toilets were not cleaned: (website hidden).
Should I say more ? I guess not. It was my first rental with airbnb, and probably my last this experience was terrible.
I was not expecting an hotel don't get me wrong, just a place clean and with clean sheets is that too much ?
Thank you for renting your apartment to us. We love staying there. The apartment is fantastic, has supermarket and bakery nearby. The metro station is very close, and in 20 min already in manhatam. The couple Chris and Christina were fantasticos and fulfilled everything they promised. I recommend to all of the community.
The reservation was canceled 25 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We really enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn. The appartment is lovely with nice beds and very well equipped. The location is great, metro just around the corner and a grocery shop on the other side of the street. Sadly we didn´t give us any time to try out the fitness room or other parts of the building, but we took a look at it and everything looked clean and well attended. The instructions we received before our arrival were very accurate and clear.
We would recommend this appartment to our friends at any time.
Chris and christina was a perfect guest, they communicated well, respected our space, and left it in just the right order we would of course welcome them again.
Chris and Christina are a lovely young couple who were on ther way back home from an extended honeymoon trip. They were great guests - friendly, respectful, and shared their delicious tea with me that they carry with them. I highly recommend them and will look them up next time I'm in NYC!
Chris & Christina happen to be a very nice couple, respectful of the house rules, clean and easy to communicate with.
I recommend them as guests
Chris and Christina are a really lovely couple, easy going and friendly guests, I didn't meet them personally but they left my apartment in perfect condictions.
C+C are airbnb pros. Great communication, appreciative, adventuresome and tuned in. We loved hosting them and hope we'll see more of them.
Chris and Christina were the best. I mean that literally - my favorite guests so far! They will bring brightness and kindness into your home. You will love them!
As someone who has done quite a bit of traveling myself, I have often found myself staying for a spell at Chris and Christina's residences in between jaunts -- and let me tell you, hospitality such as theirs is hard to come by. They give tender loving care to the arrangement of their home, and their space has the sense of upliftedness you would expect from two such brilliant artists. They're two of the dearest people on this planet, and their positive vibes and knowledge will make your experience in their home all the more memorable. Brooklyn's Finest!!!
Chris and Christina are two of the nicest and most interesting and open people I know. They devote a lot of time and energy towards their home and work hard to create a space that is both relaxing and inspiring. When I am in their apartment I always feel at ease in a city where that is not a frequent feeling one has. Their stop on the G train is a very long ride for me from where I live (park slope area), however, I consistently find myself wanting to make plans to visit them in their home because of how hospitable they are and how peaceful their apartment makes me feel As artists, they have a great sense of color and light and decorate the apartment with beautiful artwork, and take pride in providing their friends and guests with whatever makes them most comfortable and satisfied. I strongly urge staying with this lovely couple. They will make your time in New York extremely memorable.
I stayed with Christina & Chris for 4 nights. Their apartment is beautiful, in a very artsy, young building full of creative people. However, the most special part of the experience was meeting & spending time with this lovely couple. As a native New Yorker, they took me to hidden gems throughout Brooklyn that I have never experienced. Christina is a talented artist and her work garnishes the walls of the apartment. The room was small (as to be expected for any New York apartment! - Thats NYC!) but cozy and clean with clean sheets & a clean bathroom with fresh towels. I was originally going to stay there for 2 nights and with a friend for the other 2, but ended up staying for 4 with Christina & Chris instead! ;)
Christina and Chris are an extremely likable couple. They are two very well-rounded talented professionals both with hearts of gold. They are very warm and inviting, but rarely have people over so they are quiet and keep to themselves. Their apartment is brand new with fixtures and appliances done to the nines! Their building has all the amenities, and their unit is spacious and comfortable and has great feng shui. Christina is a master at feng shui so all the work has already been done for you to have a very comfortable place to rest your head :). They are also lovely people to be around.
