Hi. I'm new to Airbnb, but here goes.
I am a 61 year old professor of modern Middle East history. I've taught at Harvard and then (since 1995) at New York University (NYU); here's my NYU faculty web page:
You can also (website hidden) me and see what interesting (and sometimes even accurate) things turn up about my academic life.
More importantly, I have two daughters, ages 21 and 18. My family lives in an apartment in New York's Greenwich Village, but we also have a house in the Berkshires region of western Massachusetts that we use on weekends and during vacations.
I am a very organized, neat and responsible person, both at home and when traveling, so friends and others with whom I've stayed really like having me as a guest.
I have done a lot of traveling, mainly in Europe and the Middle East, which I really enjoy. I am now planning to spend a week in Rome in March with my older daughter, a junior in college. I have not been in Rome for 33 years (!) and my daughter has never been, so we are very excited about exploring this wonderful city together.
