I'm married with two teen-aged kids. My wife Leslie and I live in Pleasant Hill, CA (which nobody's every heard of), right next to Walnut Creek, CA (which most people have heard of). We bought our house in 1996 and plan to live in it pretty much forever.
I've worked in Voice/Call Center Technology for over 20 years and work at Symantec, working on their call center software (don't ask; I've told my family over and over what that means and they still don't know). My wife is the Community Manager for the Laptop Lounge, a co-working space in Walnut Creek.
While we love our kids and our jobs, we also love to get away from both once in a while, which is where Airbnb comes in. We prefer quaint, cozy little spaces -- entire homes/cottages rather than rooms within houses -- not too far from home (an hour or two drive is perfect), . We're dog owners (two corgis), so we're not at all put off by dogs on the property. We're very conscientious guests, quite serious about taking good care of our hosts' properties and leaving them exactly as we found them.
