We had the most wonderful time staying with Will and Loren. Their historic house is very beautiful and they've done such a wonderful and sensitve job bringing it back to life. We felt immediately welcome as Will and Loren told us about the neighbourhood and good places to eat and visit. They told us lots of interesting things about New Orleans during our four days there. We were also extremely fortunate to try some of Will's absolutely delicious cooking. The cottage itself was very comfortable and quiet - the bed was almost impossible to get out of! The neighbourhood, the Bywater, is off the tourist track and is fascinating and friendly with a mix of people - wandering around and stopping in local bars gives a sense of New Orleans as a place more characterful and complex than the French Quarter might suggest. We were very sorry to leave as we felt we were just oriented and into the rhythm of the place. We very much plan to return and would highly recommend staying with Will and Loren.
What a wonderful experience we had at this B & B! Will and Loren are amazing, gracious hosts and the facility is fantastic! I look forward to visiting again. I highly recommend this B & B to others visiting New Orleans. The hosts went over and above to make this a memorable stay. (By the way, Will's cooking is 2nd to none!)
I was very pleased and impressed by the property and by the owners. This was my first air B7B experience and went with a certain amount of concern..didn,t know the neighborhood or muchh about the place. I consider the owners to be new friends and also loved the neighborhood. If you are a big party animal stay in the Frnch quarter..If you are a person interested in people and culture and architecture and a stunnigly good breakfast then by all means stay here..Cant think of any complaints ..I was looking for a safe and quiet place to base in NOLA and I got that and more..Lovely place and again lovely owners..
A last minute opportunity to fly to New Orleans found me looking for a place to stay and boy am I happy I found Will & Loren! The cottage is immaculate and private - like a little oasis with the swimming pool in the backyard. Bywater is an emerging neighborhood just a half hour walk (by day) or 5 minute cab ride (by night) from the French Quarter. The birds singing in the trees in the morning, the chicory coffee in the main house when waking up, the wonderful suggestions of what to see and where to eat - I just can't say enough good things aboout my host or the accomodation!
First of all, the photos of the cottage do not to it or the property justice! It is a charming property and when you walk up to it, you immediately feel a sense of history and old charm. The cottage was comfortable and super clean and had pretty much everything you needed including WIFI, TV w/cable, state of the art airconditioning system, closet. And oh my God the bed! Hello the bed! It's king sized and its like sleeping on a cloud! The comforter and pillows are so fluffy--it was such a good night's sleep that I couldn't wake up! Will and Loren are gems. I had the pleasure of having a tour of the main house as well and really enjoyed my time speaking with Will. He gave me so much information about the history of the house and the neighborhood--it was like having my own personal guide! Parking is really easy and the neighborhood is just a short drive from the French Quarter but was so quiet. I didn't even realize that the window was open all night because it was so quiet. There is also a mineral pool! Though I loved the cottage, next time, I'd like to stay in the main house which contains several rooms, each with their own bathroom. I think it'd be really fun to stay when other guests from all over the world are staying. Im definitely coming back! Thanks so much guys!
