The stay with Pablo and his brother was amazing!
On the one hand, the appartment is great and in a convenient location in a guarded lot, and on the other hand both were absolutely great hosts. They showed me around San Juan and their friends!
I also got to meet the family - all of them super-nice, friendly, welcoming and chatty!
I can only recommend Pablo and I will try ti come bavk!
Pablo is very personable and was willing to pick us up down the road at the mall a few minutes away. His apartment is very nice, with high ceilings and lots of room. The big problem we had was with the inflatable mattress deflating the first night. He let us sleep on his comfortable bed the following night.
We stayed at Pablos in January 2012, everything was as stated if not better. Very friendly and helpful host with a simple and central location. He was even thoughtful enough to include a GPS with his address as the "home" location. Upscale apartment with gated entrance made us feel safe and secure. Would recommend to anyone.
We had a great time staying at Pablo's place over the holidays. He even invited us to a couple of parties at his friend's place where we got to learn a lot about the Puerto Rican culture. He gave us great recommendations for places to visit during our stay. When we had an issue with the air-bed, he promptly arranged another one. I would definitely recommend Pablo's place to anyone heading to San Juan.
A wonderful experience overall! Both Pablo and Francisco are awesome hosts that do their best to make sure you have a pleasurable experience. My only regret is that I wasn't able to spend as much time with them and attend one of their infamous parties! Their apartment is calm and fabulous! In a wonderful part of town. Thanks again for a wonderful time! Can't wait to go back :)
Pablo and Fran are the best hosts ever. They always invited me out, although I was not able to do much due to work. They were great conversationalists and helped whenever I had a question. They are amicable and the best gentlemen. If you want the best of Puerto Rico stay with these men, they are great. I miss them so much and hope I can visit again WITHOUT a work agenda.
This apartment was very clean, with opportunities for leisure as well as privacy. The Tirado brothers are lovely people. Being a native, I know my way around the area and was, therefore, completely independent. The building has a high level of security that made me feel very comfortable. This was a great place for the price.
We stayed in Puerto Rico for 3 days and Pablo's apartment is just like our home. It's a nice apartment, we got everything we need and Pablo is always ready to help, even though this is a very busy week for him. I wish we had more time to hang out together. We'll definitely go back. Thanks Pablo.
Pablo and Francisco are amazing! My roommate and I had an awesome time in Puerto Rico thanks to their generosity, recommendations, and advice. They fed us, took us out, drove us to El Yunque, and were great company when we were in the apartment. Besides providing us with a GPS to use with our rental car, I could call Pablo up anytime, give a vague description about where I was and where I needed to go, and he could direct us there, no problem. The very first night Pablo took us out to his parents' house to have dinner. His parents and siblings are simply amazing. Funny, intelligent, and very welcoming. I recommend his mom's carrot cake! :) Right after that we went out to Old San Juan and enjoyed some rum and some cerveza, while being educated on the history of Viejo San Juan. Thanks to them I had many foods for the first time such as fresh coconut, el ojo del Capitan, and mofongo. They are simply the best hosts one could hope for. I'm definitely coming back. Muchas gracias Pablo y Francisco!
Pablo and his brother were marvelous hosts...I needed a GPS system the day we arrived and they loaned me theirs before we even came to stay with them, which was really a blessing.
Their apartment was clean, neat and the kitchen was a cook's dream. The bathroom we used was very spacious and the shower was incredible... we really liked it !!
The first night we stayed, they cooked us tacos for dinner. Pablo took us on a grand tour of Old San Juan, by night. We enjoyed drinks at a couple of hot spots where we tasted 'specialty' beers and got to hang out at places I never would have known even existed if he hadn't taken us out...Tiana even got to have a characture drawing done in Old San Juan which she posted on her (website hidden). (We have some photos posted before her camera broke from the sand at the beach, so we had to rely on my nieces camera which we haven't gotten the pictures yet.)
While we stayed at their place, Tiana and I went to a couple of different beaches and ate at local flavor restaurants. We went out with a bunch of their buddies to a Sushi restaurant and one of his friends from Aguadilla even knew my son...that was a surprise!
All in all, we enjoyed our stay with "the brothers Tirado"...unfortunately, we never got to meet their parents and siblings as planned because we left to go visit our family on the other side of the island...maybe next time guys.
This was the first time we stayed in a BNB and it was definitely an experience to remember...I think no matter where you stay in Puerto Rico, you are bound to have a wonderful experience...
If you enjoy life, then you will definitely enjoy Puerto Rico...
Thanks for a memorable time!
Never had guests that I saw so little (5 minutes) but no problem: they were really friendly and correct, hope they will be back to get to know each other..
Very nice and easy-going people. They left the apartment as clean as they have found it. I wish they had stayed longer. They're always welcome to come back
Feedback 100% positivo!!!!!
As a guest, I would also elect Pablo and his wife for governor(ess). We truly enjoyed having them here with us and welcoming them as our first bnb guest!
Pablo was a good guest. He's an interesting, nice, and polite person.
Pablo was absolutely wonderful to have! It felt like an old friend was visiting. People like him are exactly why I love air bnb, strangers become instant friends and it is an absolute joy! I had family in town and we all got to hang out and had great conversations and laughed a lot. Pablo you are welcome back anytime and we can't wait to meet Mrs. Tirado!
Pablo and his super cool, not so little bro were fun guests to host. We'd look fwd to having them at our home in the future!
This review is difficult to express, as these two young men are truly THE ambassadors of Puerto Rico. And despite my verbosity, I find it especially hard to define my first experience in their country. Being as it may, I will start by saying that there are so many beautiful and kind people (not always an easy combination to come by), and everyone that we (my 21-year old brother who’d never left MD/VA area and I) encountered gladly assisted us with everything we needed (except a rental car, there weren’t any available).
Pablo and Fran are eclectic dreams come true. They’re humble, kind, blasts of fun and very intellectual. Being natives of San Juan, PR, they were able to provide extensive knowledge regarding their county, culture and history… if fact, they were well informed about practically everything about everything :-) We were accepted with open arms. Francisco and Pablo met us and escorted us to their home from the airport. On the way, they took us to lunch and gave us an awesome time out in Condado before reaching their PALACE. Yes, PALACE.
Confusion is most certainly expected when the cost and pictures are juxtaposed. EVERY PICTURE IS WHAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU GET TO THEIR APARTMENT…EVERYONE ONE OF THEM….NO PHOTO SHOP, NADA. (if you’d like to contact me @ (email hidden), or (website hidden)-Sha Trent, feel free to do so and I will send you MY pictures to verify the amenities)... and it really is like Fort Knox...security is tight. With electronic key box, keys, codes and Magellan GPS and PR guide book (all provided by The T Brothers) in tow, they provided us with excellent opportunities to venture out whenever the need presented itself. We got to see and hang out at a few really nice beaches, nice restaurants, and malls. Plaza San Patricios is like 4 blocks away from the home….so it’s perfectly located for access to whatever you’d need or forgot to pack.
Fran and Pablo made me laugh (Fran once did, until I cried), took us to Old San Juan and provided an education and fun tour with many historical facts (they should write an edition of History for Dummies), introduced me to monfongo (mmm, mmm… good), introduced my brother to sushi and sake (while I stayed in and slept), played Xbox 360 Kinect (FRUIT NINJA) with us, and taught me how to make pineapple ice cream.
Having made the mistake of booking an EXTRA early flight, we were pressed to get to the airport by 4am FRIDAY night/SATURDAY morning for a 6am flight. Pablo agreed to take us, but not before painting the town red with us first. So, on our last night, Pablo took us out and we had a ball!! We met up with Rob (awesome guy) and then had a nice wine tasting at Dario’s upscale bar. Pablo taught me the art of tasting wine (there’s a lot to it). I’m going to petition Webster to post Pablo’s picture to describe the word, ‘charisma’… Clark Gable charisma :-)
I can honestly say that I have not let my short hair down in years (at least 5), and The Tirado Brothers (and Rob) made up for it in 3 days. I always felt safe (family member safe), and that my best interest was at heart. I know that I have met and made friends for life. I truly fell in love with them and plan to return in less than 2 months. I highly recommend any decent person to stay with them… and am apprehensive as to who does stay that is not worthy of doing so. I can’t say enough, but I can say that out of every country I’ve traveled to in the Caribbean and US, this 3 days provided me with the most relaxation, fun and exposure. For my brother, it’s been the beginning of the rest of his life, as he’s officially gotten to see just the type of playground that God has provided for us…first stop: San Juan/Guaynabo/Condado, PR.
Thank you, Pablo and Francisco!! I miss you two so much and can’t wait until October, so get my room ready :-)
I know that Puerto Rico has a governor, but it needs to have a mayor as well. And Pablo would be that mayor.
He is an amazing guide to San Juan; I've not yet gone to a place with him where he didn't know at least 3 people.
Aside from that, his apartment is pretty badass (I'm jealous, I admit it), and both him and his brother are genuinely cool people.
