We enjoyed staying at Julie's place. I agree with other reviews here, especially about the great teas! It is a lovely old north coast house.
The street noise is a bit loud, however we brought the fan from the kitchen into the bedroom and didn't have trouble sleeping at all (I'm an annoyingly light sleeper).
If you are planning on cooking most of your meals check that the oven/stove works before going.
In addition to Julie's great suggestions, we enjoyed Nooners Cafe and the drive to Petrolia. Thanks!
The area was very nice everything that was listed was accurate. When i initially got in everything was in place and ready to go. The room was ready and the Julie also left some suggestions for some places to visit. There was plenty of towels and also some fruit and coffee. The room got cold at night but, there were two heaters to keep me warm one in the bedroom and one in the living area. The space had a great home feel and I would definitely stay there again
The accommodations were exactly as described. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We took Julie's advise to try Fire and Brick for dinner and it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thanks for that recommendation Julie!
My sweetie and I stopped here on a road trip from Eugene to the Bay. This was a sweet space to visit with beautiful natural light, hardwood floors and a complete kitchen stocked with organic fruit, shade-grown coffee and teas. It was easy to find, the amenities were comfortable, the water in the bathroom was hot and with good water pressure--nothing more we could have hoped for.
I hope to stay here again on my next trip through the area.
This was a terrific place for us to stay and feel at home. Where else can you find something so reasonably priced with a kitchen? We had read all the reviews, knew the pros and cons, and were completely content. Thank you, Julie!
We haven't met Julie but she was very available before and during our stay. She gave us good advices on what to do in Eureka and in the surrounding area, and about some places to eat. She's flexible with schedules of arrival and departure.
Her appartment is very welcoming, functionnal and confortable. Everything you need is there, for a short or a longer stay.
The Waterfront and Old Town are early accessible by walking.
We highly recommand this host and her appartment.
Julie's place is clean and conveniently located. It's on a fairly busy street but is quiet at night.
Fresh fruit and milk in fridge. Greeted us when we arrived. House was clean and rooms were as listed. It is on a busy street so you get quite a bit of noise (especially from morning commuters).
I think some pros and cons make for a helpful review:
- Charming house, generally clean, good light from outside.
- Nice neighborhood.
- Price was right for this central Eureka location.
- Host was responsive, left some fruit for us.
- On a busy street during the day, quieter at night.
- House gets hot in summer months, fan provided.
- Stove/oven not working (changed our meal plans a bit).
- Layout a little awkward (bathroom cuts off front room from bedroom).
Julie is a friendly and easy host. Her apartment was clean, comfortable and decorated with some fresh fruits. The kitchen is fully equipped for breakfast lunch and dinner. Julie provided fresh an clean towels. Over all definitely a place to stay in Eureka
Julie was a great guest! She was friendly and courteous, and very respectful of our space. I would highly recommend renting to her Julie. You won't be disappointed.
