Seemed like a very nice family from our communication prior to their arrival. They were traveling with friends and persuaded us to accommodate them with a far shorter minimum and a larger group than we usually allow for our house since someone had just cancelled their original booking and they were in a bind. We were sensitive to their situation.
We were so disappointed that they felt our house was not adequate. We obliged them with every request they made. When our wonderful neighbors welcomed them to the neighborhood, they chose to complain about our house to them. Apparently they are accustomed to new construction and found our 1950s house lacking and were not able to appreciate the charm of our wonderful outdoor living set up and neighborhood. We strive hard to satisfy our guests and in our two+ years of hosting the fantastic airbnb community this is the first time we have had such an issue. We certainly wish them the best of look and will reconsider making exceptions in the future.
