I'm disappointed to see your comments regarding a situation that has already been dealt with.
The cleaning fees are set by the company that has been contracted to clean The Dunes. I only charge these fees on stays less than 5 days because otherwise it is not cost effective to accept bookings of 2 or 3 days. This is stated in the listing for the property and it was reiterated to you when you booked. You were given the opportunity to cancel your booking and you chose not to.
You booked a studio apartment. A studio, by it's nature is small. It is not a king suite and my listing doesn't claim it to be anything more than a studio apartment.
You were well aware of the staffed hours of the complex. You were given the information pack that I give all my guests when they book. You contacted me directly to tell me that you would be arriving late at night because you were coming from the desert area in Southern Tunisia. Through our correspondence you were given the procedure for out of hours arrivals.
I am not sure how any of this constitutes a 'scam' that you are claiming it to be when you had all of this information at the time of booking.
Whilst I found it somewhat unusual that you would be moving furniture around in the apartment, when you notified me of the dust you had found behind the furniture, I apologised to you, offered to have the apartment re-cleaned, refund you the cleaning fee and have the Manager meet with you in the morning to discuss your concerns. You refused all of this.
I would encourage you to read and understand what you are booking before you book to avoid similar situations in future. My apartment is exactly as it is listed and the guests before you have enjoyed their stays. The guests that checked in after you enjoyed it so much they extended their stay.
I was not aware that the apartment wasn't clean. Thank you for letting me know. I will take it up with the cleaners that were supposed to have cleaned it.
There had only been one guest stay between me taking the photos and your stay, so I'm sorry the cleaners didn't do their job and I will see them in person about it when I'm there next week.
There isn't much I can do about the water. The taps need to be run on arrival because I think the pipes get rust in them. It is a building issue, but I'll make sure it's communicated to the next guest that they need to run the taps for a few minutes to clear out the dirty water.
