The description and picture provided for the apartment is exactly what you experience. The spectacular view of Manhattan takes your breath away as you enter this apartment. The apartment was clean, uncluttered, without any very personal items present. The doorman was cheerful and helpful. Accessing public transportation was stress free; and we couldn't have felt safer in this Brooklyn neighborhood. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping areas are accessible within minutes.
We spent 4 nights in Suzanne's meticulously clean and comfortable apartment. We were 2 couples (cousins) from different cities and appreciated the privacy of having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with living room/dining area to have breakfast and relax together. We also used the workout rooms on the 36 floor - excellent equipment and views. Suzanne responded to any queries immediately, in helpful ways. The doormen in the building were pleasant/friendly; recommended a local place to eat. Subway is a short walk and we had no problems going back and forth to Manhattan every day. There is a public parking lot nearby, but we did manage to find street parking.
Our stay at Suzanne's apartment lived up to all expectations and then some. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Location was perfect as a easy walk to subway and a short journey I to Manhatten. Our hoar kept us informed all along the way and was quick to respond to any queries. Would highly recommend and hopefully be back again. Many thanks
Awesome view - clean, modern apartment - centrally located and easy to get to anywhere in NYC
Suzanne was quick to answer our queries, flexible with check-in/check-out times and very informative regarding the apartment and location.
Everything exactly as described and shown in the pictures. The view is super spectacular and stunning, not only the first time you enter the apartment, but every time you enter the apartment, and that no matter whether it's in the morning, during the day or in the evening.
We'll definitely book there in the future and highly recommend staying with Suzanne!
We spent a great time in this appartment. The view is amazing!
We definitively recommand Suzanne ´s appartment.
Everything was perfect! Thank you Suzanne!
This airbnb experience was great. Suzanne was quick to respond to any questions even though it was the busy holiday season. The house was clean and comfortable and looked just as it did in the photos. The neighborhood was convenient to fun shops and restaurants, and it was nice and quiet for sleeping. If you want a cozy quiet place in Portland this is a good one!
Suzanne warmly welcomed us and stayed in touch online and by telephone as needed. Her brand new two-bedroom apartment has mesmerizing views of Manhattan from the 25th floor. Suzanne has chosen furniture and furnishings that create a beautiful, classy, uncluttered home. We loved the views of the City both day and night, especially when the sunset struck the Empire State Building and other iconic Manhattan skyscrapers. The kitchen was well-furnished, the living room very comfortable, and the bedrooms and bathrooms so new and comfortable. We loved being there 11 days!
Property was exactly as shown in photos, very cute and comfortable. Walking distance to fun restaurants on Williams Ave, more of a walk to the Mississippi Ave arts/hipster area. Suzanne was very quick to respond to questions, and very accommodating when i needed an earlier checkout time. I would stay here again.
We are a retired couple (60+ and 70+) and this was our first time using Airbnb and we were not disappointed. We loved it! We have traveled quite a bit and always stayed at nice hotels. For the price, the space beats a hotel room hands down. The property was accurately described and was VERY clean and I am quite particular. I have allergies so I was looking for a place without carpets and that didn't allow pets. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of room for me to cook several dinners and lunches. Having a proper dining room was lovely since we ate in quite a bit. The mattresses are firm and that's just the way we like them. The dressers are a bit older but the closets are fine with plenty of hangers. The bathroom was spotless and had a working window if you wanted to crack it open a bit. The shower had one hand grip on the inside which was fine for us (typical Portland tub and shower combo(no glass enclosure). Nice tub if you want to soak and relax. We used the washer and dryer and both are new and efficient. The stairs to the basement where they are located were a bit tricky for us but we just had to be careful. I noticed that there is another exit to the outside and that might be good if you can't navigate the stairs. Our son, who is 30, of course had no problems at all. The neighborhood is quiet-great for a good night's sleep. I took walks by myself and felt quite safe. I didn't walk at night only because there are lots of tree roots that have buckled the sidewalks in spots. Being over 60 I didn't want to risk a twisted ankle but walking in the nearby Williams Street shopping and dining area was easy even at night. You can also walk to Mississippi St. (8 or so blocks away) which is full of shops, restaurants and more. We walked to the New Seasons Market on Williams (lots of organic products) easily from the house. There is a Safeway and a Walgreen's a tad farther which we didn't go to. The back yard doesn't have chairs or anything, so you could use the grassy area across the street if you have children and you wanted them to run around for a little bit (beware of doggie piles first). There are a couple of parks nearby also. When looking for the house at night you will have to look closely for the number because their isn't a street lamp close enough. It would be a good idea to leave the porch light on as soon as it gets dark. There are about 4 or 5 steps or so leading to the front porch. There is lot of public transportation but our son picked us up from the airport and we took a 25 minute Green Cab ride ($22.00, not including tip) to...
This is really a sweet bungalow. Prime Portland location with lots of cool Portlandy things within walking distance or a short drive. The house was clean and roomy - high ceilings, functional and well-supplied kitchen, and two good sized bedrooms. We were very comfortable cooking our meals there. I've stayed in places that don't have enough supplies in the kitchen to make a meal, but Suzanne's place was really nice.
Everything was clean and well put together. The hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.
Suzanne was a wonderful guest. We came together suddenly and everything went seamlessly. We would be glad to have her back anytime.
