Excellent stay at Richard's.
Very very clean room and en-suite bathroom, super comfy bed with lots of pillows, blackout curtains. Great attention to detail, the room is furnished to make guests feel welcome.
Richard is a very kind host, friendly and chatty, but he also respects the guests' privacy. He prepared a memorable breakfast with top-quality ingredients!
The property is about 5 minutes walk from the main bus station and most central amenities, and about 200m from St.Anne's church, where you can climb the tower and admire the city from above.
We had a wonderful time in Cork. Richard is a good host, served good breakfast! The room was perfect and situated near the city center.
Artist-in-redsidence Richard is a great host and a very talented artist. His B&B is perfectly situated for the cultural and social scene in Cork City being only a five minute walk to the Crawford Gallery, Cork Opera House, the Everyman Palace Theatre, St. Patrick's Street where the English Market and the beautiful Le Château Bars are found, and Oliver Plunkett Street which is the hub of the bar and restaurant life; our favourites being the traditional Irish music venue The Oliver Plunkett & Frisky Irish Whiskey Bar - with the best covert Smoking Room & bar we've ever seen - and Quinlans Seafood Bar on Princes Street which should satisfy the palate of every gourmand. We stayed at Richard's B&B for four nights and from the get go he could not be more accommodating and helpful, he will provide a tasty breakfast for your choosing each morning up until 11 am. We had two en-suite rooms which were very clean and comfortable with facilities for making hot drinks. Richard does not mention nor advertise the fact that he is an artist but the B&B's decor tastfully reflects this and he will engage in conversation about his if you ask. Richard is archetypical of Cork people; every hostelry, restaurant and store we were served in we were greeted with a very warm welcome, they go out of their way to give you the best service possible without being intrusive which is an art in its self.
I only stayed for one night but had a pleasant experience. Richard was very helpful, accommodating, and offered some good advice in finding my way around the city.
Richard was an excellent host! He was very welcoming and had lots of great tips for things to do and places to go. The room was perfect and exactly as described. Richard also made a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning.
I couldn't have had a nicer stay! Great location, super host, and fantastic breakfast. Definitely book!
We had a great stay in Cork! Richard was very responsive to all of our emails leading up to the trip. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. He kindly left us fruit and breakfast bars when we didn't have time for breakfast. Although when we did have breakfast he cooked us an incredible meal. He was very accommodating to our allergies. Would highly recommend this Airbnb and would stay here if we ever come back to Cork.
Richard was very good and great with maps, directions and places to go. His place was very clean and the location was perfect
Wonderful stay! Right in the center of Cork and close to shops, restaurants, and bus station (we took a day trip to the Rock of Cashel and another to the Blarney Castle). Richard cooked us a wonderful breakfast which was the best we had on our entire trip!
Although I didnt get to meet Richard, all communication was good and great reports
Perfect guests. Highly recommended
