Jennie was a great host. Check in/out was a breeze and she made us feel very welcome by providing fruit, coffee, and some snacks. Her home is great, exactly as portrayed in the listing. The neighborhood is in a great location. There are bars, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby, and anywhere else in the city is easily accessible from there. I would not hesitate to stay with Jennie again when I return to Atlanta.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The home was clean & looked like the pictures that were posted Jennie was prompt in her communication with us & even left us some homemade cake, Delicious! The location was very convenient for our travels, thanks for lending your home to us
Staying at Jennie's place was a joy. Not only was the house a great place to spend a week, but she was super responsive and made me feel very at home after a long drive across the country. I couldn't have asked for a better place/host. If you get the chance, stay here!! Thanks, Jennie!
The property is very well kept and welcoming. In a great location near little 5 points and convenient to any place you'd like to visit in the city.
The backyard needs a little tlc, but nothing major.
Unfortunately my friends and I weren't able to stay, out of respect and since it's something that can be fixed I'm not going to give any details.
I'm sure Jennie wasn't at fault, I only wish we could have taken the time to resolve this issue in a better manner. Especially since I had to pay half of the charges to sleep on my friend's couch. And we had two days after advising of the problem to get together and come to some sort of compromise.
Working in the customer service industry for many years I guess I just expect better compliance on fixing the problem. Rather than trying to point fingers and place blame.
Either way I had a great time in atlanta but we don't plan on staying here again.
Jennie's bungalow was nice. Sweet backyard. Arrival and departure instructions were super easy. Her home is just steps away from the East Atlanta Village (EAV) and all the great spots it has to offer: Graveyard/Basement, The Earl, Joe's Coffee, Argosy, etc. If you want to stay on the East side, here's your place.
Thanks Steve! Sorry I forgot the house instructions - still impressed you found it!
Such a cute house. Had everything we needed. Was clean, neat and secure. Great neighborhood and close to everything. Jennie is a wonderful host, very hospitable. We all felt right at home and enjoyed our time staying in Atlanta. We hope to return again and stay at this house. Thank you Jennie.
Jennie's house was great. Felt like a good friend had left me the keys for the weekend, everything you need was there...it's location is great. The rest of the family had never used airbnb, and were hesitate at first, but fans at the end.
We really enjoyed our stay at Jennie's home during our short stay in Atlanta. It was in a perfect location from which to explore other areas of the city and at the same time within walking distance of many great bars and restaurants in East Atlanta village. The place was clean and very comfortable for the four of us.
Renting from Jennie made for an awesome weekend. Not only is her place beautifully decorated, homey and comfortable, but it's convenient to nearly everything that's great about Atlanta.
Jennie made it all very easy with prompt response via email and detailed instructions. When we arrived everything was just as it should be.
Location - East Atlanta has a lot going for it within walking distance (some nice shops/bars in nearby East Atlanta Village), but the bungalow is also only 3 miles from downtown, Virginia Highlands and couldn't be more than 2 miles from Little Five Points.
House - Jennie had everything we could want/need: Comfy beds, awesome back deck, lots of space, natural light, a well equipped kitchen.
Usually when I visit Atlanta, I'm either in a generic hotel or at a friend’s house out in the boring suburbs. That said, it really changed my opinion of Atlanta for the better to have such a nice place to stay so close to all the action (read: never had to worry with the dreaded traffic, even on a Monday). I would most definitely book Jennie's place again.
Jennie was a great guest. Solid communication before and after his stay. Simply put, it was a pleasure working with him.
Jennie was a great guest!
