Growing up in Holland, I studied music at the Rotterdam Conservatory. I came to the U.S in the early sixties. After a career in banking and finance, I started teaching piano again and discovered the joys of chamber music. Although trained as a soloist, the teamwork and camaraderie in chamber music adds a more intimate element to making beautiful music - it feeds the soul.
I am friendly, open minded and enjoy meeting people of diverse cultures. I like hearing and sharing histories and experiences. My lifestyle is relaxed and informal, and always respectful of your privacy. I am also an avid reader, love gardening, creating mosaic projects, or just sitting quietly on my deck, marveling at nature and watching my exuberant dog run around the yard.
Laughter, kindness, friendship and a sense of humor are always present in my life.
