Excellent stay! Beautiful apartment and very convenient.
We just returned from the BEST family vacation we've ever had - and we credit the trip's success to having such a great lodging situation through this airbnb find!
We were celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans which is a crazy time to visit the city and we were nervous about finding a good spot to stay. We had a blast and while the historic city, neighborhoods, restaurants, and festivities entertained us, it truly was the gorgeous home nestled in the French Quarter that really made the whole experience so comfortable and enjoyable for my family.
First of all, Craig is the condo owner and he was incredibly helpful and responsive from my first communication with him. Craig was so easy to work with as we coordinated our stay and he ensured we easily got into the place. He also was available to answer questions via text and made some great restaurant recommendations too!
In terms of location, the condo is on Decatur and is less than 100 feet kitty corner to the central Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Prime locale! We could walk everywhere even though we rented a car. Parking was in a nearby secure lot and it was so convenient to head out everywhere on foot and easily return to our home to change clothes, drop off shopping wares, and use the restroom!
The building has excellent security and despite the craziness during Mardi Gras, we knew we were safe. As for the inside of the condo, it is gorgeous! The beds are SO comfortable and the linens are fine! Five of us stayed there comfortably using the bedrooms and an inflatable mattress. There is a gourmet kitchen, two luxurious bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and the furnishings are new, clean, and modern. The couch is cozy and the huge flat screen tv was fantastic for relaxing and watching the NBA all star game. Seriously the photos don't do this place justice. I miss it already!
We loved our stay so much, that every time we returned to the condo, we kept exclaiming how much we loved the place and how lucky we felt to stay there.
Without reservation I recommend this beautiful home for your visit to NOLA. I have been to NOLA before and found the chain hotels to be old, smelly, dirty and in need of repair. This airbnb find was a gem and I hope we can return and stay again next time!
Enjoy the Big Easy in the best condo ever! Thanks!
Definitely recommend! Curtis was a very accommodating host and the check in / instructions were seamless. As others have mentioned, this is the best place you can get when you factor in the location, price and size. It's close enough to the action, but far enough to be away from the noise. When I am back in NOLA next time, I will definitely be staying here again.
The one thing that was somewhat bothersome was that you can hear everything that happens in the hall and vice versa (this is a building issue, not with the host). We got a noise complaint the first night when we weren't even rowdy -- we had cell phone music playing (not even at full volume) while talking. We were respectful after that, so if you have an issue with staying quiet, this isn't the place for you.
This is absolutely THE place to stay in NOLA. Our host provided all information up front that made this a nearly perfect check in process - and when we did hit one very small bump in the road, he took care of it immediately, and we had absolutely no issues for the rest of the stay. If you don't know NOLA, this place is just about the most perfect location you can find to stay in order to be in walking distance to everything, everyone in my group felt like we hit the jackpot. The condo itself was just what we needed for our group of five, and the decor was amazing. Loved that wifi and parking were included, as well as all of the other features of the condo. Not only were the essentials provided - but very nice versions of them. I didn't feel we were just renting out a space, our host definitely took care in planning all of what goes into making this a wonderful stay for guests. We definitely took advantage of the balcony for the fireworks on NYE and felt like rockstars. I would hope to only stay here again for future visits to NOLA.
Craig was an excellent host, responsive and his directions are very clear...one of my better experiences on airbnb! This place is right next to Jackson square, by the riverfront and one block from cafe du monde...can't get any central than this in NOLA! Craig has a nice spacious pad...we were a group of 3 adults and 2 children...fit our group very well. The pad is as good or even better than what's shown on picture, well equipped and reliable wifi...definitely will look this up next time we are here.
Amazing condo in prime location. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay this past weekend here. Cannot say enough about how great the location was. Within walking distance to all the restaurants/shops/casino in French quarter that we wanted to try. The actual checkin and checkout procedure was so simple and hassle free. Decor was beautiful and condo is extremely clean. Looks exactly like the pictures. Also very secure building! Would definitely come back!
The stay here was the most we felt at home since we originally lived in New Orleans! Absolutely everything was in walking distance - French Quarter, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, CVS, Walgreens - you name it! The stay had no hiccups whatsoever and our host was always just a text message away. We highly recommend this location and will definitely be looking to stay here again when we return.
Awesome location for New Orleans French Quarter trip! The Jax Brewery building is a New Orleans icon. The apartment itself is clean, well-appointed and quiet. Make your way to the private balcony on the back of the building (on the same floor!) for a great view of the Mississippi. Walk just down Decatur for beignets and coffee at Cafe La Monde. CVS in building for last minute necessities.
Check-in was perfect. Response was almost instantaneous. Perfect host!
We stayed in this condo for Halloween and Voodoo fest. The condo was exactly as pictured and in great condition. It is in a perfect location, at Jackson Square - a close walk to Bourbon St or Frenchmen St. Craig was readily available by phone for any questions that we had. Would absolutely stay here again next time we are in New Orleans!!
This was my 3rd time traveling to New Orleans and by far my best accommodations. The location, cleanliness, design and lay-out, and furnishings were remarkable. And with all of the amenities (silverware, dishware, glassware, laundry, dishwasher), it felt like home. The host is very accessible and even offered unsolicited advice for having a good time. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Previously I stayed in a timeshare condo and a hotel and this was by far superior. The location is unbeatable in my opinion (short walk to Bourbon without being on Bourbon-close to the action, but mostly quiet at night).
