Baxter and Clare Hill, married over 42 yrs. Baxter is a retired Architect with a career spanning 40+ years in private practice and for the (website hidden). (USDA/RD). Now, he loves to do the landscaping chores, tend the garden and woodlands in the rear yard and help Clare with all things around the house, as well as spend lots of time on the computer and playing poker with his regular group once a week. Clare is domestic engineer, a gourmet cook, an accomplished seamstress and award winning stain glass artisan. She taught homemaking, cooking and sewing for years and ran a private stained glass studio giving lessons and creating custom commissioned and exhibition works for 20+ years. Her passion is sewing and she still continues to make apparel and crafts whenever she can fit it into their busy lifestyle. They've lived in Tucson, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, Dover, DE, Silver Spring, MD and now call Wake Forest, NC home. They are adventurous, frequent travelers and their children are two wonderful cats that travel along whenever possible with the eldest, Cinco, a 15+ yr old Norwegian Forest Cat having logged over 30,000 miles! They enjoy entertaining, good friends, good food, good wine and good times. They also enjoy camping, cooking, remodeling projects, anything historic, reading, classical music, museums of any kind, old movies, games, collecting artwork and finding treasures at flea markets and yard sales. They love making new friends, the colors of Fall, cruising, road trips and train travel, National Parks, the symphony, the opera, browsing for antiques, contemporary architecture, modern art, birding and spending quiet time and growing old together.
