My husband Gregory "Deke" and I are in our mid-50's. Gregory is a contract worker in Afghanistan, I am a stay at home housewife and our daughter Melissa is a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Deke and I traveled to the West Coast of Ireland in Oct. 2011; we stayed at Peg's Cottage in Pukane, County Tipperary. We fell in LOVE with Ireland; my husband's mother has roots in Ireland, she was a Sheehy! We LOVE the brown bread, and enjoyed meeting the Irish people and seeing the beautiful sights of Ireland. Our family is very laid back, not in a hurry, we just want to see as much of Dublin and surrounding area as we can cram into our stay! We are traveling light since we will be coming off a two week floating university cruise, so we will most likely need to be directed to a laundry facility once we arrive.
Our daughter Melissa and her twin sister traveled to Ireland via the MV Explorer in the summer of '05 when they were in college.
Once we leave Dublin, Deke will be traveling back to his home base of Kabul, Afghanistan where he works while Melissa and I will travel to Frankfurt, Germany for overnight, then back to Seattle.
