I am a 30 year old woman living in Cape Town, South Africa.
Great apartment in a great area, very safe and lots of taxis outside. Within walking distance to the great Gardens Mall and there's easy access to all of Cape Town. Very comfortable, would stay again!
Keri and Roger were fantastic hosts and the apartment was excellent. The location was very central and the rooftop pool was amazing! We spent 4 nights there and thought ourselves very fortunate.
Pros: Comfortable space
Secure building with parking
Well equipped kitchen for self catering
Friendly helpful host
Cons: Neighourhood feels dodgy after dark
No view from the apartment
Keri was a great host!! The accommodation was exactly as advertised. It has a homie feel to the place too. We felt safe and it was in walking distance to Long Street (10-15mins) and ideally located for exploring the city. The view of Table Mountain was amazing on the rooftop. If you have time the gym and swimming pool was nice too. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this place to any of my friends visiting.
Really a perfect 'home away from home' to explore Cape Town! The neighborhood is fantastic and within walking distance from Long Street, Company Gardens, museums and Bo-Kaap. It's also very central for all the other important sights (by car). The appartment is small but cosy and reasonable clean. Parking included. Keri is a very helpful host! Thanks for a great stay!
Our stay at Keri's apartment was wonderful. Even before arriving, she had helpful suggestions. Our flight arrived nearly an hour early, so we called her on the way into town, and Roger came to meet us at the apartment. He showed us in, explained everything, gave us a map along with their telephone numbers in case we needed anything, and recommended a taxi service.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, and had some basic groceries already available. There is also detergent and fabric softener available for laundry, which was very helpful - we had come from a day trip in London, so we already had some dirty clothes when we arrived. There is an extensive selection of movies, so if you are tired from a day of hiking around Cape Point, you can relax in the evening with a film!
The apartment building is located quite close to the District Six museum and Grand Parade (the plaza in front of the City Hall). Nelson Mandela sadly passed away the day before we left, but we were able to walk a few blocks to the Grand Parade to participate in a memorial gathering for him.
You will also be within walking distance of Greenmarket, Long Street, the train station, and two shopping centers.
The apartment is also easy to get to from the highway, which can make trips out of town a little less hectic. We rented a car one day to drive to Cape Point, and kept it overnight in the parking bay.
Head up to the roof for a great view of both Table Mountain behind you, and the city in front of you. But watch out for the wind! If you're not careful you might lose a hat.
I highly recommend staying at Keri's apartment if you are looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay in Cape Town.
My friend and I had a phenomenal stay at Keri's apartment for 4 nights/5 days. Our flights into Cape Town were delayed and she was waiting for us at the apartment for over an hour without a single complaint. She provided us with great recommendations on things to do and places to eat near by. She also left us a ton of delicious snacks that we enjoyed throughout the trip. The building has 24 hour security and an incredible rooftop view of table mountain. The apartment is well-decorated and has all the amenities one would need. Its located near the District 6 museum which made it fairly easy to walk to a number of interesting locations (most of the museums, long street, ect). It's also next to a great coffee shop called Truth.
The best part of staying here was that Keri let us know about a possible riot in the city which would have made it unsafe for us to around. We definitely appreciated that she was looking out for us during our stay. I would definitely recommend this apartment to my friends.
My boyfriend and I spent 4 wonderful days at Keri's. The flat is in pristine conditions, decorated in a modern and stylish manner and really comfortable. The building is manned with security guards 24/7 and the flat comes with a parking space which is a real plus.
The location is really handy as you can easily walk to local shops and a large shopping mall.
Keri was very accommodating from the day we booked. On our arrival we were welcomed by Keri and her boyfriend both charming and friendly. They had a lot of useful information for us regarding the building and Cape Town and they left lots of goodies and snacks in the kitchen.
Thank you very much for having us.
Keri's flat is a great spot for 2 people. It's comfortable, secure and in a good location that's walkable to many interesting spots in Cape Town. Keri and Roger were very accommodating and informative, even giving us a heads up when severe weather was in the forecast. They also have one of the most eclectic VHS collections imaginable. The only downside is that there's currently construction next door that can be a little loud if you're trying to sleep in. Otherwise, everything was great and it's where I'll hope to stay when visiting Cape Town again.
I love Cape Town and my experience was just made better by the fantastic flat and amazing Keri who welcomed us here like at home.
I have been in many Air BNB flats and never someone was so thoughtful to go and shop for us so we would have breakfast and basic amenities...
Keri is an amazing host and there is no better place where you should stay if you come and visit Cape Town! The swimming pool and the roof just top up the experience!
Great couple, would highly recommend them, and would love to see them again. robert
